Ya I know about the dirt obsesion over here too..everybody uses it for there med shows..and non med shows. probably because its idiot proof..lol. One thing i didnt see in your setup was any chillers? Do you guys use them or just use room temp feed? Also do you run h2o2 or zone or anything like that to prevent rot or other root problems? have you ever used any bigger buckets than the 5 gallons or had any need to use bigger? thanks again d

ya, dirt definitely has its benefits for sure. hydro has just been proven to be cheaper and more productive/efficient over time, plus they've proven its much more environmentally friendly. you do not need chillers for flood drain or mft's. h202 is added every 2 days at 1.6ml/L. there is no need for bigger buckets. its easy to get big yields per plant in 5 gal, ask krusty lol. peace, d

ps. usually rdwc or most other constant feeds need lower root temps, ebb flow is like dirt growing, d

Any tips or or pieces of equipments to suggest?
And how many gallons of solution is needed to properly flood a bucket? Just roughly, taking into account that every size of system differs...

I too have been trying to figure out how this can be done on a main level basement or shop/garage...besides having the buckets 3 feet higher than the res..i dont know how you could do it so it would drain passively?

all you need is a back up sump pump at a slow flow, and a relay timer connect to a power pump that turns on 1 min after the feed cycle stops. its in detail at growyourownmedicine.blogspot.com under grow room make over, peace, d

hey guys, probably only loading pics now on sundays, been swamped. the kcc is adding another 400 lights plus patients this month. my mfts arent even planted yet (, oh well, help others first, and it will all come back.

so dig this. while med man and i were busy doing other gigs, and the a/c here was being fine tuned. they bought the wrong thermostat and for 2 weeks the day temp was averaging 95 and eve was 55 degrees, yikes. the condenser unit was sired backwards too or for 2 phase, i still havent sen the a/c guy to get the real story. they they were very stunted and almost on their death beds the last couple so i never took any pics.

well. ive just started using adnced nutes ph perfect line, and these things have quadrupled in size in like 10 days, with the a/c in order never forget. i love the fact that wetting agaents, aminos, and humics are now added directly to the mix, and we never have to check the ph. me and mm will have 30 250 gall reses between us to manage here by the end of 60 days, and never balancing ph again has freed up 1/2 our time we neeb to spend managing, im very impressed to say the least. here are some recent pics......
