Have you flowered and sampled all of them? Which ones are your favs? I know one thing I look at when picking moms is different characteristics of the highs. I like different types of highs for different situations. For instance, I like ecsd and bubblegum for daytime/work use. I like Black Domina and Sensi Star for PM use. What are you looking for?

Well, perpetual takes a little more planning. I have to keep heavy hitters online and stagger flowerin to harvest a plant a week. Sativas are always desirable but need shorter flowerin times to fill in the harvest gaps. Indoor soil-less performers are necessary, too. Lot of things to consider - remember a perpetual means there's always some inthe cloner, in veg, the moms, and in flower - can get the plant count up there if yer not careful.

My ECSD is way too strong fer daytime, along with the wreck. Swt#3 is good daytime smoke but drops ya fast, as does the cappucinno. All of them have moms and clones have been cured and toked except the DSD, SSSDH, Grape Kush, and Skush.

too strong fer daytime...that depends on how many rips you take.

I almost puked after I smoked my first ecsd joint solo. I wasn't prepared... I don't smoke much during the day anymore, I vap with the volcano. I find that the vapor gives a much headier cleaner high, with less lethargy and come down. One bag of ecsd after the morning shower is the only way to start my day

my advice would be...don't make any judgements based on the first run of anything. I've found that it can take a few grows before you really see how a strain can really perform. Figuring out how to work a particular phenotype can mean the difference in good buds and fantastic buds.

kokua - we tried the vape and went back to Js - just like the taste experience that's sadly lacking with the volcano. Most of my strains are clones only or gifted clones, I work with very few beans because of the room necessary and the time to search for those phenos - most of the good phenos were found by friends and they gifted me clones of their work, so the work has already been done and we've had a number of grows with most, those that are still on the first grow are gifts from this years' minicup, and those are mainly the ones that I have to decide deserve the time and room dedicated to keep the line goin. (Don't be misled by my join date or post count, or posts by me - we've been here all along with most of the old farts, and had to start over when we returned from the POM debacle. That meant losing all the links to the old threads -they are still there - just gotta search for them- and their galleries.) Thanks fer the input! It is appreciated!

willie nillie - thanks bro - yeah, we are blessed with great friends that have passed a lot down to us along with their friendship. Every time I look at the plants I am humbled with thoughts of the growers that gifted them.

Stoned silly - yer right there, mate- we're honored with a lot of nice strains that friends have worked and knew we would appreciate! For me they're all elites as they are all gifts, and that's the hard part in deciding their future in the grow - if friends thought enough of the strain and enough of us to gift them, it's hard to think of closing any of them down.

Hello Onetoke, hope all is well. Yeah so reading the thread I come to the conclusion (in my humble opinion) you probally should stick with your gut on this but you really can't lose either way. I say go with your top three pick the top two or three from the thread and maybe try some new things with more space.

I would Flower it all out, stock up on the meds and then if you just happened to grow something you want to get back, now you can use that plant as a frame of reference for the next possible mother. Thats how its been for me forever, i like trying new stuff takes longer but isn't it fun.
