And I am in love with electrical vehicles as of now.
Its a sparta, a dutch brand which I bought secondhand for €250 from an older man who took great care of it. It doubles your pedal power upto 24kph and the battery should last 30km on average, with at least 500 recharges depending on how well its treated - it should be completely drained every 5-10 charges, never stop charging before full, temperatures etc.
I'll be using this to bike to work, 10km. No insurance, no road tax, low energy cost and besides the battery and normal bike wear nothing that will break down, makes this bike virtually free compared to even the cheapest motorized option like a scooter. Even if its completely destroyed in 5 months it would still have been cheaper.
Only 3 seconds on this thing made me see the huge advantages. Electric motors are great, maximum power the second it kicks in, no waste of energy at all.
I promised myself many years ago i would never buy a fossile fuel powered car, mushroom eating hippy teenager i was. Then over the last few years, and lack of mushroom trips, i started convincing myself that it would be inevitable to get a car sooner or later, with the electric lobby failing to commercialize anything decent.
I am glad to find out now there are many decent alternatives already, even though virtually no one i know has heard or knows anything about it. Turns out there are small electric cars that accelerate faster than a lot of sportscars, they have to be limited or tire replacement costs would be ridiculous. Electric bikes that do 50mph with almost a 40miles action radius.
The electric future is now, who's with me?
