To sum it up for you
white paint, very easy to apply, good refelectivity, cheap, hard to mess up
mylar, hard to hang, easily tears, gets dirty fast, expensive, best refelectivity, poor choice, but good for light starved gardens
panda film, durable, easy to apply, good refelectivity, and a great light proofer, good for seperating veg and bloom rooms, moderately expensive
reflectex, durable, good reflectivity, most expensive
White IMVHO is the best, easiest, and cheapest way to go. From what I've been able to gather, the white elastomeric roof coating at lowes has the best reflectivity, and only $15 a gallon. It is used to as a energy conservation tool on buildings with flat roofs, it reduces cooling costs as it reflects the bulk of light away from the roof.
