i want to grow a plant or three for my sister in her garden. she just got through cancer treatment & in addition to meds she has been getting high cbd edibles. i'll hop down to the store & get a clone of a high cbd strain (any recomended strains for outdoor in northern colorado? fort collins, not the mountains). the strain i pick from my seed stash will be secondary.

anyhow, i have some old seed that i'd like to try before trying to pop what i'm most interested in (purchased 2007-8 might need to try different methods if the first don't pop.). i'm curious if any of the seeds i have might have some cbd. beans are:

joey weed white widow

the rest are from cannicopia:

lapis mountain indica
chuck d
bubba kush x deep chunk

Thanks in advance for any knowledge/advice.:tiphat:

probably should have put this in the med forum. just smoked so i have an excuse.

I doubt any of those will be very high with CBD.
I have grown Cannacopia's ChunkyCheese and none of my three females were CBD-rich.
Sure you can find CBD-phenos if you're lucky and grow enough of them, but i bet most seeds will be mostly THC-kind.

So buy few kinds of CBD-rich clones if you can get some.

All my best to your sister. Hope she gets well soon.

EDIT:
Oh ..out of those seeds i'd try Lapis for CBD types. It's a hybrid of two pure Afghan lines

Id agree with GoatCheese as Deep Chunk isnt known for high CBD even though its a pure Affy, I would say Lapis Mt Indica is your best bet as the Lapis half is a more recently collected landrace.

All the Cannacopia strains you mentioned however contain hard hitting indica genetics that are well known for helping to relax muscles and promote good sleep.

I think seedsman has released a high CBD seed strain recently.

Also note that THC has been shown to be the most effective cannabinoid against both cancer and nausia caused by chemotherapy.

If used for edibles however it may be better to stick to a high CBD strain as, well, THC containing edibles can really mess people up haha...Best of luck.

hi,

I do not know about medicine
But what I am informed is that most cannabinoids both THC,CBD and others act against cancer and tumors

I was treating a children patient (6 years old) with cancer leucemia with brain tumor and gave him high doses of THC, both indica and sativa,
In RSO extract with excellent results,

the tumor dissolves
And the doctors describe it as a miracle, do not believe in cannabis therapy but that does not matter to me,
The patient is well after 7 months of treatment after being deaired and without a cure,
and now go to school again like other normal kid,

I recommend you if you can deliver cannabis therapy through some kind of extract or concentrate for better result
Indica for the night and sativa for the day,
wwidow in your case for the night
The Cbd by its effect can be applied at any time of the day and in combination with THC also,

You can also read the studies of Dr. Cristina Sanchez she explains how works against tumors

Best wishes for your sister's treatment
regards

In your situation, there's no room for "might." I personally am looking into Candida(the Seedsman distributed strain from Medical Marijuana Genetics mentioned by Zitz) for my straightedge, non toker mom for general pain, which reputes all phenos to have under 1% THC and 10-20% CBD. There are other strains that claim 100% of their phenos to have high CBD, but have a chance of having high THC as well, or are not as well documented.
