If you want to be lazy Voyagers for weed and Bluebird for hash.
The number of times I've gone to Bluebird to try their weed and ended up with a lump of hash instead!
If you want to work a bit harder have a look at Paradox for their finger or turkish hash.
Club Media has Zooljtes hash which I think is very nice.
Ibiza - Honey tiblisa (sp) gets good write ups.
Anyday always has a few interesting hashes as well. Always worth a look. I had some Rootang Valley hash there a while back which wasn't bad. Good coffeeshop actually.
Ed, look foward to see your connoisseur's crawl coming out!
for myself top coffee are grey area, green place, Voyagers.... yes sometime Bluebird for hash too!!!
Whoever said it varies from batch to batch hit the nail on the head.
Good hash but expensive is obviously Barneys and Greenhouse. Katsu, Grey Area, Bushdoctor on rembrandt square.
Katsu was the best coffeeshop we went to handsdown, its far from the touristy areas around 15 minutes by tram but once you get there its all locals puffin in a nice comfy environment chatting you up interested in meeting new people.

Grey Area, is this the smallest coffee shop in Am'dam?
Damn I miss Amsterdam, I've enjoyed every single time I've been there and have the most blissful memories of there, especially the first few times I went there....but the problem is that from where I live, I just about couldn't be further away from there so it costs a small fortune, it's almost a day's travel to get there and "life" is constantly getting in the way of me getting there....arrrggghhhh
Im not so fond of the cannabis products Europe has to offer. Although I will agree the Moroccan hash is some the best things Ive smoked in the NL.
Red Moroccan is one of my favorites. Get off the beaten path, listen to the locals if they will talk to you. They dont sell the good stuff to tourists. Far better stuff in the small towns surrounding A'dam and much cheaper prices. Speaking Dutch or German fluently will help in your search to find better cannabis...Bottom line you will not find better cannabis anywhere on the globe, than the West Coast. California to be exact Oregon isnt too bad either

Veer off the beaten path of Centre area, neighborhoods away from the tourist district is the best. Small shops, too, always better smoke.

http://www.coffeeshopmenus.org/
the menu is not always up to date because it is forbidden to take pictures in coffeeshops,
but here you can get a nice overview of what the stores deal in general because a lot of strains an hash varieties are sold all over the year..
