Well im about 99% WWIII is at out doorstep...and im using all my recourses to get to a safe place..Im not going to waste my last days with a bunch of sheep arguing about everything and doing nothing in a concrete hellhole they call a city..

What i need..

1) lots of sun..sun is energy therefor everything..food electricity etc..
2) isolated...no people around..and not of any interest to anyone..except maybe a future hermit like me.

well thats about it...i think you catch my drift..

Where is home ???

maybe i am paranoid..well its even likely..but even if i flee for no reason..it's still worth it..cause i am done with the city, it's insane!

Try the centre of Australia - or anywhere in Australia.

That's where I'd go.

You need to calm down. Take a deep breath, smoke a fatty :joint: , and plan to the nth detail first. :chin:

THEN, run raving and screaming like a complete nutter straight to OZ. :yoinks:

(just kidding - good luck)

nah man the end is near and all you sheep that think guys like him are crazy are going to be caught off gaurd. when i say the end i dont mean something metaphysical but i mean the crash of our economic and political atmosphere. its happen before in the past. if your a student of history like myself you would know that all the great empires went through certain phases before their eventual decline and america is in the final stage. and if you live somewhere else besides america and think it wont effect you think again we crash the entire world will suffer. thats not me being a cocky american thats just me stating a fact. america has its tendrals in every aspect of other countries affairs (something i do not agree with, so though this wont help.... sorry). it will happen in our life time believe me and when it does people like ^^^ will be screwed.

o look at some property in alaska dirt cheap. off the grid, plenty of resouces and when the bombs start droping im pretty sure it wont be a target. i mean whos gunna bomb a bunch of trees deer and a few hermits?

There have also been many people in the past who lived their paranoid lives scared to hell, waiting for doomsday... building concrete bunkers, stocking up with canned food that they never had a chance to open, etc.

No wait a minute..im not raving maaaaaad here :yoinks:

Its not just a fear of nuclear holocaust here...i just dont grasp the values of city folk. I just dont get how most here justify their existence. Im not judging..i just don't get it and i don't like it. The only thing that really makes it possible..is an agriculture based on cheap energy..so they can make Nitrogen fertilizers from air..which takes LOTS of energy. And disturbs the natural balance of things. And the food is getting worse if you have not noticed yet...

And if not for any other reason...just to grow weed in peace :joint:

To each his own. City folks can't understand how people live out in the sticks, living such a simple life.

I beg to differ..

Simple life ? Well it does not hurt to open your eyes for a second. I agree most Hillbillies don't truly grasp the miracle that surrounds them. If you live near the Tropics there is lush plant life surrounding you. Millions of them. They all have different anatomy and their own little niche. I might be a geek but it's only boring if you don't participate.. Just grab your microscope and get crackin'..

Like I said, to each his own.

Just because you can't understand why a person lives in a certain environment doesn't mean that there are no reasons for it.

I've lived in areas that range from rural, to small and mid-sized cities, to extremely dense urban cities. And at this point in my life I don't want to live out in the sticks somewhere. Maybe sometime later when I'm older and want a quieter type of life, but right now this (dense urban metropolitan) is right for me.

A few things I’ll point out from my own thought.

First if something whatever it may be that’s causes that much chaos will affect everyone no matter what. Let’s size up a fictional situation.

City folk. Visualize a parameter setup and marshal law used to keep the masses in the parameter while people kill each other over boxes of corn flakes that weren’t looted first. Some choose a t.v or shoes because they have become so reliant on govt. and put there trust to their own welfare.

Rural area people “forced” to work and farm to feed the occupying forces whoever they are. Setting yourself up in a “hole” as I have witnessed doesn’t work. I don’t care if you have a mini food bank and 2,000 rounds of ammo, once found it will be taken from you. They will burn or smoke you out of that hole.

From a survival standpoint staying mobile is the only way to go. Taking only what you can carry and adjusting to your environment as you wonder thru the seasonal landscapes as they change. But hey what do I know? I’m just a simply man who grew up learning the basics of survival and applying them where ever I may reside city or out in the country.

My rule as passed down to me….Keep it simple. Have a backpack ready to go at all times with the essentials and update as time goes. Know your surroundings, get out and hike and find alternate routes that the masses will ignore because they are so used to following each other like cattle moooo.
lol now this is getting intrested as the focus shifts to how best to survive the apcolypse. or apcolypse lifestyles and you (like its a magazine or something). i have to disagree tex but it all depends on you and your aspirations for the post apcolyptic world. you see if you stay where you are well stock piled you can slowly pull power. first start with your neighbors establishing clear borders and slowly expand acquiring new territory and new allies. as your forces grow there will be less of a chance of people comming and taking your shit. and you ... you will be at the center all powerful in the new world muhahahahaha. now your idea is good too but it all depends on the person. the things that sucks about your postion is anytime you find a force greater than yourself you will have to move on never able to establish your power. power is safety and danger if not careful. you dont want people assasinating you on your throw only after a few years. ooo plus you can reorder how dates work so instead of saying BC you can say BJ (no pun intended) before jojajico lol.

If its a nuclear holocaust, it isnt going to matter what you do. You can either hope the initial blast of flame and heat kills you, or suffer for a few weeks while you watch your skin and hair fall off from the radiation poisoning. The choice is yours.

just cause the nukes are falling doest mean you will be hit. i think they will hit the major cities. dc ny la ect. but really only one will do enough to colapse our society. dammit then we will have to deal with mutants. lol if they bite you you become one of them. kinda like zombies but with plutonium.

^ Well..the result is pretty much the same.. Nuke a few strategical points and the economy goes to shit..The same thing more or less... No one is going to nuke everything..that would not make any sense..

But damn it..there must be some place so off the radar that no one would look for..come on..anywhere in the world.. Is this planet so infested with Hum0ns all ready ??

...And im not talking about a big farm maybe 200 miles outside the city..just a few hectares in the middle of nowhere enough to be self sufficient..All you need to supply is meds..everything else can be produced locally..

what about the great depression.. we sure as shit bounced back from that.. we may not be the biggest global power, but i doubt this country will completely lose its influence in the world. this "empire" has only truely been around for somewhere around 70 years, i think its still got some steam left. just get bush the fuck out and we can set ourselves straight. maybe.

as far as nuclear war goes, the most likely cause will be a malfunction or misinterpretation of an enemy threat. during the cold war a russian nuclear arms system malfunctioned and told operators to launch nukes. luckily for humanity a russian working there understood it was only a malfunction and never fired.. what happened to him.. FIRED.

“The era of procrastination, of half measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close. In its place, we are entering a period of consequences.” - Winston Chuchill

There is always a ''spike'' before a down trend..

Some say the great depression just slowed consuming down a bit thus buying us time...but i wouldn't really know..

i read somewhere that scientists clued up on the topic believe there's a 50/50 chance of a nuclear strike on US soil within 10 years. Mind you here in the UK we are probably more at risk because of our posiotn on he map and blairs policy.
