No more, can't get them, everyone bought them up.I've been searchin Amazon.com Ebay.com MSN shopping and no one has them anymore, besides they are vintage meaning they aren't made anymore, they are old.

Also there was never a 6" pyrex bake around tube they were 4" outer diameter and 3.75" inner diameter.

Just buy a stor bought one if you want 6" diameter, they run anyhere from $75 to $150 U.S.

What the hell,I have been searching ebay the last week and it wasn't showing any results...hmmmm,now I am confused LMAO.

jnugg, i know ebay is funny like that sometimes, whenever im looking for somthing, i do a search, wait a couple days, and repeat... stuff is always changing/being added, plus you usually find better deals that way.

Any particular reason you want specifically pyrex tubes? If you're making a cool tube, you don't need pyrex, and hurricane shades are a lot cheaper. For the price of some of those tubes, I could have built the entire thing.

Here's an example of my 1kw cool tubes:

i guess it dont have to be pyrex, but glass anyway. thanks for the tips. someone must manufacture glass tubes for some use or another.

Ebay does infact have them.I just checked a little while ago.In the search bar I typed PYREX GLASS TUBE BAKE A ROUND and up came a page with all the bake around tubes.

The search above is case sensitive so be sure to type it in as you see it,do not modify.

The hurricane shade I use for my cool tubes are available at Hobby Lobby or Michael's (or any other arts and crafts store, I'm sure) for $5.99.

I checked out Durty's link, and Bake a round tubes weren't much more than that...10 bucks or so....Would be worth it for Pyrex, which would be more heat resistant and durable, IMO. But, whatever works for ya... :D

I'll disagree on price, because that $10 is very rarely the actual selling price, plus you've got shipping. As far as heat resistant, meh, maybe, but how hot you planning on letting that thing get? The hurricane tubes are made to have open flames inside, and I've never had it break with my 1kw inside, with the fan off.

Durability, you've got a point there.

I just hate to see someone spend more time or money than necessary. but, like you said, whatever works.

The Pyrex bake a round is 4.25 inside diameter.

If you still want one, PM me.

Never hurts to check the link....Most of them were around $10, shipping included.

I know what hurricane glass is, my mom had literally hundreds of oil lamps. And yes, they are made to house flames, but the majority of the flames heat goes out the top of the glass, so IMO they are NOT made for the same kind of heat that a Pyrex tube is. Radiant heat coming off a HPS is different than a flame anyway. Thats great that your hurricane glass hasn't broken. Good luck with that. In case of a fan malfunction, I'd want a bit more of a leeway. If it were me, I'd use Pyrex. The extra time or money is worth the peace of mind. Agreed to disagree. :smoker:
