Mine's been going strong for over a year...NO signs of letting odor through. When they do start failing it's a very gradual process, so you'll have some time to get more carbon. Just drill out the rivets, dump the carbon and refill it with more carbon (pack it as much as possible via vibration) and stick some short self tapping sheet metal screws in the rivet holes to close it back up. That's one of the only bitches I have with Can filters is they use rivets...but it's no big deal really.
They are heavy, so you might need someone to help you when hanging it...but there's always ratchet straps and other ways of getting it in place :wink:

I'm still going to get it,but this damn vaportronic seemed to work fine all day today,I cant even smell it outside the door now.I really dont get it.
