There are many good brands, and depending on what you want to spend, there are varying degrees of quality. Everyone has their own favorite, and in many cases it’s the classic Ford, Dodge, Chevy debate. Get the best you can afford. Look at total watts vs your needs (32-40 watts per sq foot), umol’s, led type(s), warranty, customer service, etc. Avoid no name Amazon cheepo models. I like HLG, they have great customer service, made in USA, they sometimes have refurbished models at a good discount. I buy direct from HLG. But there are many other good brands.
If you are spending much pay attention to the vendors customer service and if buying online confirm if you are responsible for paying return shipping and turnaround time also if possible keep a screen shot of their policy at time of purchase as that may come in handy if there is a issue in the future.
I personally would not buy a refurbished LED system as the clock is ticking for every hour of use and you have no way of determining the honest hours of use.
