when wiring fans be cearful

i accidental wired my fan to the wrong power supply last night it had a 13 amp fuse in, when i touched the wires the computer fan went boom and sparks went everywhere, lucky i had a bigger backup fan so now im happy again but be careful out there new people

yes, be careful... its good practice to not wire anything live... flip the breaker first... and double check with a voltage meter... a buddy of mine just got blown off a ladder and shattered his leg trying to rewire a fan on a live circuit... electricity can kill... double check..
