When was the last time fan leafs got you stoned?

Just curious if anyone else still keeps and smokes their fan leafs.
I've been tokin on some better than the commercial bud around here.

I don't believe I have actually smoked a fan leaf but...
just the other evening I came upon a group of lady friends that had got into one of my bags of leaf trim. They were rolling spliffs of it and thought it was great stuff. heheh

I dont even save fan leaves for the hash pile. Thats disgusting!
Maybe make a salad if you want to consume fan leaf. I wouldnt do it unless the plant was flushed and Id imagine the fan leaves would be toast by then.

After the storm last summer I have no choice unless I want to pay top dollar for BS 1/4 as potent as the leafs that i salvaged.
I like good bud just the same as everyone else does, but I'm not going to pay for the crap being sold in these parts ... it's not even worth smoking. My fan leaf is better.
So old Dangerous is stuck with fan leaf for medication .. unless some old friends come around.

lol prob 15 or so yrs ago,ive' tried bark, onion roots, etc all crap lol but vwe still smoked em. im' pretty sure the young rippers get into it no bud on some plants they rip, why take it? i do remember getting severe headaches out of it. if you like you like,

Yeah, I hear ya on the headaches noyd, male leaf does nothing but give me a headache, immature leaf has the same effect. I was lucky enough to salvage the leafs off my females after the storm. They had started into flower pretty good, but not any real bud formation... more like nubs.
But now honestly, i am surprised at the weakness of the commercial bud in my area.
I'm smoking fan leafs and and they do more for me than the commercial bud around here.

I dont care to pay good money for good meds, but the meds have to be good, not crap that fan leafs are kickass compared to. Know what I mean?

When was the last time fan leaves got me high? 1976...if I remember correctly.

I was fifteen and they weren't fan leaves...More sugar leaves...

A gift from the gardener at the condo where I lived. It was like the first time I got high.

i've smoked fan leaves for over 20 years. i roll 'em up in phillie titans broke down for the blunt wraps.

the idea that trappers, buffalo ( back in the day) and lizards and snakes hunters kill for the skins and the rest often left to rot sickens me.

i believe that if a residual product has value then it should be used for its residual value

^ however, i've very rarely found any strains that fan leaves are potent. i used to drink and the fan leaves were helped by the alcohol. it worked out ok most of the time. i used to be broke and sold the buds and smoked the scraps including bud trimmings.

two memorable strains where the fan leaves were kick ass;

electric smoke from bsc ( manga rosa/ smcg). 1 blunt daytime thinking i would get an idea of how potent the buds might be ahead of harvest. 5 hours of an intense up stone.

imported south american gold bud in '75. the seeds were grown out and the fan leaves ( gold bud homegrown fan leaves) rolled in normal joints would give a normal heavy toker a very good lengthy buzz.

i don't drink anymore and i don't smoke fan leaves off any strain unless they have a lot of sugar and i still use it as a precursor test to get an idea of the type of high and degree of potency a new strain's final product might be like.

for me, it still comes down to "use it if it has value". if it doesn't have value then don't use it.

I vaporize all the leaves. They give a nice buzz. Once I grew a bubblegummer plant and the leaves got me higher than the buds, it was strange. My friend even got a trip out of them. Why waste plant material if it works.

I last smoked pure, microwave dried), leaves about 3 years ago when I was in a slump. Not good but better than nothing.
