when do plants go into veg.?

is there a way you can tell from the number of nodes? I don't want to give a plant any nutrients until it goes to veg., but i'm not sure when it goes from seedling stage to veg.

i dont know when do other people start, but i just count my "vegging period" from when it sprouts. but for your sit. feed it when the cotyledons the first 2 round leaves starts to yellow dramatically

In hydro , you give a diluted nutrient formula for seedlings. If you are soil, perhaps a more experienced person will chime in.

Agreed. I begin to feed as soon as the cotyledons or 'seed leaves' begin to yellow, Diluted by 1/2 the first feeding then full strength in about a week. I would say for your purposes, veg begins when the seed leaves begin to yellow.

on this plant the 'seed leaves' turned yellow a while ago, then I put it into fox farms ocean forest almost a week ago, so I guess I should add nutrients, which one do I use grow big, or tiger bloom?

Grow Big. Grow big for veg, Tiger Bloom for flower.
