I got a friend with a pack of those Aleda papers. We had to cut about half an inch off of the stack because they were too long to fit in our king-size Zig Zag rolling machine, but they're pretty awesome regardless.

We bought the Glass papers because we were trying to find some clear ones that would fit in a king-size Zig Zag rolling machine, so we figured we would try a different brand. Turns out they're the same size as those Aleda ones, and even come from the same country (Brazil), and presumably the same factory. Oh well, they're still very nice, and it only takes one snip with the scissors to fix the size problem.

You want the aLedinha papers. It's that brand's smaller sized paper, you get 50 per pack instead of 40.

I'm a glassaholic but I can speak for my friend Eddy Lepp who smokes nothing but joints. He prefers cellulose. :rasta:
peace.

cellulose papers smoke really nice. really slow burning. i use either those, or club. club are the best regular papers, they burn cleanly and leave little ash.

got to go with hemp **** its made out of the same plant tha tyou want to get high off of. its a very strong fiber allowing for very very thin papers ie club modianos. the clear cellulose are nice but its a gimick and a hand rolled hemp joint will beat it any day as the oils from the cannabis seep into the paper making it something to get high off of too lol. ideally we would be able to roll joints with nothing but bud, obviously thats not possible so the next best thing is something that is ultra thin natural untainted etc.

SD Club Modiano absolute best paper you can buy if you can find it in the state. there is no thinner no cleaner burning paper in the world. glue-less 100% pure hemp, it does however take a high level of rolling ability as does any small glue-less paper.

i agree, best paper ever. leaves verry little ash. and you can roll the biggest joint you want just keep connecting papers. :joint: i diddnt know they were hemp papers i thought they were rice.

Aleda cellulose papers are cool but taste inferior to club. and are a harsher. havnt tryed the raw papers yet, they look pretty good.

og ready to be rolled up.

I found this rolling paper article in the latest issue, May/June 2007, #66 of Cannabis Culture magazine. The events occurred in May 2006 but I had not heard about it and thought that others may not have either. I will attempt to give you the short version of the article.

The world’s oldest rolling paper business, in Spain, was founded in the 1800’s and the first cigarette paper booklets first appeared in the 1860’s. Miguel y Costas Hermanos’ International brand “Smoking” was introduced in 1924 and the company adopted its present name, Miguel y Costas & Miguel (MCM) in 1929. MCM is now one of the worlds largest rolling paper manufacturers, producing the following brands:
Smoking (including Deluxe, Red, Blue, Green, Eco, etc.);
Bambu (Hemp, New Flavored papers, etc.);
Randy’s (paper by MCM, wires by CTC);
Mantra (new flavored paper);
Pure Hemp; Skunk; 4:20; Rips Rolls; Guarami;
Bugler Papers; STYX; and Bob Marley.

In May 2006, MCM was convicted of a “crime against public health” after a 6 year investigation. The judge in Barcelona Court #9 concluded that the director of MCM, Jordi Merchant, consciously allowed components like linen and hemp to be replaced by wood and esparto to save costs. Over time, smoking esparto, wood and inferior fibers can cause cancer of the larynx, lips and lungs and is banned from the production of rolling papers in Europe.

This news, the article says, is affecting potentially 25,000,000 North Americans. The contamination took place over several years and is just now being heard about. Not only are Bambu papers made prior to 2006 suspect in their composition, their flavored papers were very recently advertised in High Times as “100% Natural” and “All Natural”. May 10, 2006, Bambu wrote a letter to consumers, not about the discovery of carcinogenic materials, but that some of their papers contain saccharin, which is not a natural product.

I would suggest that you read the entire article if you can. It’s very eye-opening and angering at the same time. Time to switch to a glass pipe? Peace.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I was visiting a friend who had some Joker papers. You guys seen this? Look at the picture closely. The joker has his legs pulled back. Hanging upside down, between his legs, is an ice cream cone, looking very flaccid. Looking rather quickly it kinda looks like a flower. Going into the "flower" is a banana. Kinda of a gay, hetro thing. I know Jokers are French but geesh...
We must of sat there for an hour just looking and laughing like 6th graders.

Ahh the weekly papers thread.

Anyway, Smoking Eco are #1, Smoking Black #2, Silver Rizla #3, Blue Rizla #4 and i'm a fan of Highlands if only for the messages printed on the roach book built into the packet, papers are a good size but a bit too thick for my liking.

edit: Oops lol, didnt see it was a bump :redface:
