Whats wrong? Yellowing/Spotting

G

Guest

Strain is Caaey Jones. They are in 18 hours of veg and are around 12-15 inches tall. I've been feeding 1 tsp ff grow big every other watering. pH is around 6.5. This problem of slow yellowing/spotting until the leave dies off has been happening for a while. Advice?

Ya, I agree with core; more info needed; and his info about the checking run of is very accurate too.

Can you fill out these questions?
Law I remember helping you on this same problem, are you having the same problem with different plants?

How often are you watering your plants?
You state every other watering....
what soil mixture are they in?

you use 1 tsp of grow big with how much water?

Looks to me like they are not getting enough food......

can you fill out these questions please?

SOIL:
What STRAIN are you growing?
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)
What is the age of your plants?
How Tall are the plants?
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)
What substrate/medium are you using? (percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each? How Often? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
How often are you watering?
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's?

i water whenever the pots feel light, usually every 2-4 days. They very well could be hungry, i just want to make sure this isnt a burn and I will crank up their feeding. Mix is MSM with 1.5 tbps/gal of lime. I recently repotted to these pots that are a little over a gallon.

When did this problem start, before or after transplanting?

WHat mixture is MSM?

You may be over watering if you have to water every 2 days.... do you lift the pots before and after a watering to ensure if the pots need watering by the weight of the pots?

I need to know exactly how often you feed, I know you said every 2 to 4 days...... but I need to know, because this can give you your answer to your problem, you should NOT be having issues with your plants if you feed every 2 days, there should be no deficiency; so this leads me to believe there may be some lockout going from that and over watering....... the burn may not have set in all the way but since you are watering so much the nutrients don't have time to build up to cause a problem, frequent watering also runs nutrients out of the soil quicker.... so I think you need to feed every 7 days and stop watering so much....... learn to let them dry out just a bit, but never compeltely dry...... lift the pot before a watering to know how light the pot is, if the pot is slightly heavy, it still has enough water in there, but if it fells like you are holding a slightly heavy feather, then it needs water.

That is my 2 cents on the matter; so pretty much you are watering them too much and flushing out nutrients which is making them hungry, cause if you are feeding them that much nearly 2 times a week or a little more if you water every 2 days then your plants should be showing a burn, and there are not, so this tells me that your watering too much.

How much water are you using when you water your plants? you let run off occur?
I don't know if your pH is incheck because I don't know what brand of mixture you are using, I don't know what MSM stands for yet....

MSM is moonshine mix. Also, I am very confident I am not overwatering. The pots dry out at various times, and I water when needed. I would say I am not even feeding every 7 days. This problem was evident before transplant.

Just because the pots feel light does not mean you are over watering; because me and you would have difference to what was light and what was not.... how much water are you giving them when you water? By what the plant looks like it seems like it is having moisture stress from the leaves being pointed down so much.
Anotehr reason why I say you have to be over watering is, if you are feeding every 2 days, does not matter if it's 3 or 4 days...... the plant should be BURNED right now, let alone the mixture is very strong if you followed the directions for moonshine mix, you should not have to be feeding eight now if your mixture was made right.

So that tells me you are watering quite a bit, in order to rinse out to much nutrients in the mixture you have to flush with a lot of water....... so if you are feeding like that the plant is not showing nutrient burn related issues than your over watering; not only that the plant is showing moisture stress.
