What's wrong with MG??

Here is my grow with MG potting soil, 1 cup bone & blood meal, 1 bag perlite, 1 tbsp epsom salt. 2 White Widow, 2 Hindu Kush, 1 Pineapple all at 20 days 12/12. I just add plain old RO water throughout. Why does everyone hate on MG??

i use miracle grow nutes as well as the organic soil (no complaints besides the fungus gnats, but they go away after the soil spends the night in the freezer lol. )

don't hate MG people! it grows some nice plants if you use it right.

i have been wondering that myself . maybe because people grab a bag from the garden centre on their very first grow and when they run into trouble they blame the soil ? just guessing there, i have never used it, but many people seem to have good success with it.

the genetics were bagseed from commercial smoke, im not sure what week of flower that was, the lady has been long past harvested, smoked smooth with a fruity taste.

I must confess I also have been using the miracle grow with rather good results!! Easy to over do it though!! Will post pics when i am allowed. Heri X molokai frost in the making!!

Miracle grow soil has never done me wrong when i needed to use it. I use foxfarm now though but MG works fine as well. Be sure to use perlite. Never used the nutes so cant comment on them.

I know it's not miracle grow, but if you want to grow quality ganja without adding a lot of crap to your soil, just grab a can of quality all purpose hydro fertilizer. Hydrofarm makes some: http://www.hhydro.com/cgi-bin/hhydro/HH00456.html?id=R88zcm8D Mix with water per directions and voila - easily grown chronic. Start with half dose, work up to full dose, then give a week of plain water. Ph your water to 6.0 and youre perfect. Miracle grow is missing important micronutes that the all purpose hydro crystals have. And for about the same price. Ok, maybe a little more expensive.

My first grow that is currently going right now i'm using mg soil for seedlings... this stuff hasn't done me wrong yet. I got a wonderful female plant that is budding nicely.. it's about 30 days into 12/12 and then I have five seedlings going right now that is in a month and some change of veg growth. I haven't even feed them once and they look wonderful except one runt... but it looks good too. I wish I had a cam to show you guys some pics.

Don't hate on the MG.. if you got it dialed in right then I don't see nothing wrong with using it.

I used MG's 30-10-10 as part of my veg ferts on this SSH plant. She is very healthy at 52 days of flower.

MG is pretty potent stuff. When I mix it I go by my PPM meter, not by tsp/gallon or g/liter.

I don't use their soil that has nutes because I like to have better control of my nutes.

just what i was gonna say. couldn't believe, after seeing that backyard forest of Lou's, that he used MG. must be something to it.

this super ice nug was grown using powder nutes too (sensi1ne, not mg, but what the hell its a small pic lol)

MG can burn EASY
there organic mix is organic but there product isnt.
its just difficult to use. and every other gro-product is better then MG
your additives helped a bunch.

Thanks for the input everyone! Strainwhore, man Lou is a SAVAGE! Thanks for the recipe BTW. Pedro, looking sweeeeet man, what strain is that? Digital, thanks for the props. Some people might not like to use it, but I have not had a single yellow leaf throughout my grow and am a firm believer if it aint broke don't fix it. I am going to continue my regime. I will continue to post pics as my girls swell up. Anyone else out there have a recipe for MG that has had some great success!? Happy growing everyone!

BTW, I also took clones before I flowered these babies. I placed them all in this soil, and all 12 that I took rooted!

I've always used MG Soil and this crap from MG called Bloom Booster. I also reuse my soil. My soil is old and have leaves and trim from about 4-5 grows. I may add a couple gallons from time to time bu the soil I am using was the soil I used in my 1st grow way back in 2004. The soil hasn't given me any troubles yet, but the bloom booster started burning the lower leaves late in flower. I think I used it 5 times in 8 weeks. I'll cut it back to 4 this time and see if that keeps the lower leaves green.
