I can answer this in many ways but the easiest way is to say unconditional love for my child. I posted in here just over 10 yrs ago the day my daughter was born. In that ten yrs there has been many good times and many bad times. I have over come mountains many would have said " im done " and moved on. Ive been in the good life and took a step back and said f it whats the money worth if its destroying the fabric of core beliefs I have. But the few words
"daddy I love you" makes every single bad moment worth it !
I took my daughter ice fishing this past weekend. Ive done this many times as she loves to go . On our way home I hear "daddy , daddy I love you " Ive heard this many times from her mouth but it was truly heart felt and got me good . Then Tuesday we went skiing . It was her first time as I had put off taking her for personal reasons I will never let hold me back again as far as being with my lil girl. We got to the top and made it down nicely once . The second time she was falling a lot and getting mad and frustrated and she started crying. It was a different cry than just a usual boohoo .So I hugged her and told her it was gonna be fine. I got the longest hardest hug Ive ever gotten from my baby . I bet for 5 minutes she stood there in tears just hugging me then looked at me and said "daddy I got this" . But in that moment I felt the connection we made and it was Great ! That night she came to me and thanked me for taking her and making her stick with it. And again a big hug and " I love you daddy " . I have the memory but pics as well lol and my memory of this moment will always be there!
Peace
