It's day 68 and I plan to run them another 23 days. But runoff ec was definitely high. Will try and take pics when lights come on, i don't think they quite hit full bulk yet. There's a reason it's a 11 to 12 weeker. The HPS was definitely helpful with the yield (leaf temp)
It's one of the best plants for reliable potency and hash returns. Hence it being a dispensary staple.
So I'm really excited to practice washing, microplaning (or sieving?), and drying the hash from both gmo and HiRo4. Y'all seen those heads on the HiRo4 and chimera 3 was being sold by fake rasta domestic abuser for 10k for a reason. Cash cropper with guaranteed hash returns. So I'm hoping, I don't know, that weak neck traits or strong plant waxes carried forward. I read what shwale posts, but I ain't shwale. Need to learn over time what leads to a good hash return or smoke.
Wedding cake for sure shows clearly why cake is/was another staple. Guy i know who washes and is a purist, he got into a club in Spain where he was able able try some five star hash. What did he get to try? Gmo and wedding cake.
So I don't breed for hash or do much hash yet, but I'm keeping an eye on those traits and want to learn more. Part of my whole long term vision is to make quality cannabis accessible to everyone. A facility, a home grower, a hash maker, they all should be able to get or grow good cannabis. A finicky plant only leads to excellent results with a few experts or intermediate level growers etc. A robust plant with top shelf effects, leads to excellent results even in the hand of an amateur or facility grower. Hash breeders sometimes focus so much on returns, uniqueness, flavor, etc that they don't keep the serious medicinal or recreational effect that a veteran smoker enjoys.
Capitalism and financialization and reduced enforcement by law enforcement agencies/states/countries has led to a very cutthroat market in some areas. I said you're not killed by criminals, but by nickels and pennies.
So the products offered is still stellar, and there's still expensive craft from guys who demand top dollar for their skill, but as the market deflates and corporations continue to enter and expand the legal industry... people are basically focused on taking less and less risk. They can't risk growing hazes and washing them. They can't run old school cuts if they don't have the customer base for it. They can run and wash something like Candy Fumez. Because people will smell that or taste that and demand more.
So in general I want plants that meet needs, not just for myself and because I hate babysitting plants, but because if I love these plants and struggle, how will the average facility worker or tent grower feel? How will they do? It's not only collaboration and exchange with veterans who can appreciate a difficult challenge. It's also the tent grower that needs quality medicine and doesn't know how to grow like mean gene.

I'm gonna run some and f2s etc down the line but I can see i95 is a beast.

Got a nice HiRo3 that would be perfect to go in the 40x40" after it's reset and cleaned actually. Not too small, not too big, just gotta give it a haircut and clean it up. Check the callus on the clones too. It's in a nice 1gal and it's well rooted and all that, would make a great run.
I sent some of the okay samples from pics above to the breeder (trichome orchards / the lost terpene) and he definitely enjoyed that and agreed it was very hashy and earthy, in that pleasant kush way. It was a nice hybrid that gave me a good feeling with sedative effect, but not so overpowering that i couldn't smoke it during the daytime.

Not finished but definitely making progress. Need to keep checking and moving some around, but one floraflex tray is empty and I'm almost done the other. So just gotta get that done, sanitize all the empty trays and inserts, and take whatever clones I'm missing.

First tray looks good. Some clones started rooting.
However
I checked some currently rooted clones, chem d specifically. They had some callus but not a full root callus covering the exposed meristem.
So
End of cutting has to be thru the side or bottom from now on and a complete visible root callus must be developed. Healthy cuttings, healthy clones, healthy plants.
And
I need to dry back my clones more. And make sure the water doesn't go down the hole where the stalk is inserted. So that means more on the bottom or side, and letting it dry back properly. With a full root callus you can make sure you're not rotting your stem from the bottom up.
It's a rough lesson I feel, I haven't lost a lot of plants to this, but basically, imagine if I didn't know what a root callus was or didn't notice these issues or the cause.
So, yeah. Gotta be vigilant to a lot of various issues if you want to be successful.

Then you'll be able to use them when you need them
Like I can just take more cuts for this issue, but in the future I might not be able to keep the plant the cuttings came from, or something could've happened to it. Or not be able to move all the plants when moving locations. So you need those skills for when major stuff happens and you don't want to lose plants you value. Applies to other stuff too really.

They come from a lot of different places or growers or breeders. The plant will show you how it likes to be treated. You see happy plants, you see sad plants, you see deficient plants, you see slow going plants, you see dead plants. After a while you can just see what's going on, even more after more time. The more time you spend with plants, even a small number, you'll see what they like or don't like. For me it's about seeing the range of that and keeping them alive. Then seeing what they need in veg or flower. Etc

Like slownickel (on instagram) talks a lot about root calluses, calcium and boron, soil deficiencies, root/soil issues... he's not gospel, but it shows that there's a lot to absorb and understand. Through scientific research and testing, the more you can apply your understanding of these plant mechanics to see the bottleneck holding the quality of your grow or process back, or how the systems interact with each other.

GMO needs full PK and some cal nit still. Will be making 4.5 gal with 3.6g epsom, 8g cal nit, and 18g masterblend bloom, for those two.
Took some pics of the 2 gmo ladies. Not sure if I can get it to go 27 more days but we will see how it fades and swells. Once again forgive me for the pest damage.
Oh I got a load of those 4 inch pots washed, but not sanitized. Muffler is on my car though now, I checkedguys at the shop were nice. Don't think I've seen a shop before where everybody looks like a straight up mechanic but they did a great deal and put a nice stainless steel exhaust on. Rust up here in canada is a serious issue.
