mountain air if you got the bread,

just remember anything over 60% humidity really lowers the effectiveness and longevity

i run high humidity in veg and the first 2 weeks of flower then i drop it to 45-50, it helps prevent mold, and extends the life of your filters.

i dont run a filter during veg or the first two weeks flower as there is no smell

i run perpetual so the filters and fans run 24/7. smell is the #1 worry for my security

perpetual does pose a problem to my solution...

if thats the case you could run your humidity at 50 all the time, but then again its not the end of the world to replace a filter every 4 grows or so

thanks who d, i went and checked the mountain air and they are pricey, doing like you do how long have they been lasting ? also i do aim for 50 % but seems 60 % is the norm this time of year for my room,

also as you say it aint that bad to have to replace them but i would like to get more life out of them and not have to worry about the smell

the profilters by atmosphere (vortex brand) are reversible so you can extend the life (not double, maybe 50%)

growing sour d and chem strains in NY and zero smell

mountain air is the way to go. Had one going for almost a year, and I was using a higher cfm fan then I should have, never leaked a scent. Cheaped out and bought a funk, let the hydro guy talk me into it, and the stank out the exhaust within three days.

Mountain air filter is twice the bread, but more than worth it. Got an earful from the lady for not spending more money on the mountain air. Can you believe that, actually yelling at me for NOT spending money!

To have a good one is gonna require a big loud ass fan like I got and well it's freakin loud.

My Vaportek 4000 is quite and does a BETTER job with 1/3 the cost and NO NOISE.

yeah i have a vaportek 4000... works great but cartridges are $50-60 and last 2-3 months so can get expensive replacing them. Still good to have a carbon filter for the grow. The vaportek is great when you harvest and trim.

From personal experience Can-Fan filters charcoal is excellent as is Hydrofarms brand which can be had for a bit less coin.STAY AWAY from Carbonaire filters, i got 3 months out of a 100 size and that was pushing it.btw,i run mines 24/7.
Looking to try Phresh filters,as i have read good reviews as well.

Joesy are you having any Issues with can?? I have been using them for many years no issues.. 9-12 months is ave use. Coal carbon wont last as long as Coconut carbon. Coal carbon is the stuff used for water contaminant's Iodine#1050. If you can find a source of Coconut 1100 thats what is used in air purification. You can use Coal carbon it just wont last very long 9 months or less.
