I was just talking to someone here the other day they were very excited about a BD clone they had aquired. This person was so taken by it that he said he was thinking about scrapping everything in his garden to grow it exclusivly. Commented that it was the best smoke he had ever had. Opinions vary I guess. I have never tried it, but there are alot I have never tried.

Terra Cava seedbank a few years back sold some old ortega #1-#3's. Breeder Steve also grew these out to choose which ortega when in LUI (he also had the original clone, which he ended up choosing to use). I tried to grow out the #2's which desribes their background as "A three way Indica Kush cross" on the seed packet. None germinated for me because they were over 10 years old at the time. I got replacements and none of them germinated either (great luck huh?). One of the other ones was a cross with NL and the other was a ortega X HP cross (I wanted that one real bad).

I have never seen any info on #4-#6 or mention of them except in the first Big Book of Buds. Breeder Steve claimed that the original clone blew away the old ortegas in yield and potency.

well seems no one knows wtf is in BD. so I went searchin around, went back to 2000 checkin threads on the net. heres what i found.........

BD is definitly MrNice(G13Xhp) X??????????this is were no one for sure knows, speculation has LUI, NL, afghan, ortega and whatever other nonsense I read, LOL.

bubba dutch commented that the berry taste in the BD comes from the NL. another poster had asked sensi in a email and they had said afghan. others have said sensi aint givin up the make up, they never do. and quite a bit of peeps believe it was the ortega.

after readin it all im leanin on the NL, as it was a popular weed at the time, or the afghan #1 or #2 that sensi had/has. more towards the afghani due to the frost on the BD. but then in the grow of it i have done, there were a few stretchy slender plants.(NL)

I have moonshines pre 98 cut of the G13XHP "Nice" clone, and its prolly the frostiest shit ive seen. so far has made the best bubble to date. while searchin out the BD, i read that the G13XHP of today is different from the earlier offerin. so the BD of today would be from later G13XHP stock. also Bubba Dutch thought that the G13XHP was more potent then the BD anyway. the clone I have is far superior to the BD i grew.

Whats in black domina??? Pure Heaven...lol at least in the pheno that was given to me. I'll have some pics for every one to see soon enough...but to say that this is the finest I've toked is an understatement. It will be replacing sensi star and blue moonshine for my indica.

I don't know what's in BD, but I know I hated NL and loved BD, although the plant structure was very weak, and the stone very hard. I watered it down with a diff indica and then crossed it to the same indica dom orangeberry cross that my tris came from. That watered the impact of the stone down a little while improving yield and taste. If only I could stabailse the tris, I could move back to that line for a bit more work. Interesting to see that some got sativa phenos from theirs, I didn't smoke any of them, nor did I get any that tasted anything other than dry and harsh smoke. I'm glad I stumbled accross this thread though as the $150 hpxg13 were the most appealing seeds on the market to me, but now I know the genes are already in there somewhere, I'm really happy with where I'm upto. It's also interesting to see though that the deep chunk was reported to be heavier hitting. What's that crossed with, an opiate plant?
