The goal of any grow - especially the first few, is always get to harvest. I'm pretty sure - your pointed in the correct hemishpere - ok your going the right direction.

Even as they start to turn yellow they are sources of amino acids and protiens, vits and precious resources. Why deprive your plant of these?

something tells me it will be a lot funnier a few years from now.

And from my experience, stress can trigger a hermi prone plant to go to the other team. over/under watering did it to me a while back, and once in a heat wave.
Being attacked by a weed wacker - could be.
If the trait is there - it will come out sooner or later. Thrash the genes

What excatly do you mean by hermi-prone?Light manipulation is the only way to cause a herm that I know of,I really dont think abuse is going to do it.If by hermi-prone you mean its a genetic thing then its going to happen anyway whether you beat the crap out of it or not.I think a lot of people tend to blame themselves when its unwarranted,unless you intentionally interrupted the dark hours with light 3 or more times in a row or give it gibb acid or other chems, I dont know how in the world you make make a genetic female or male hermie

Some strains try to put out male flowers late into flower and while some don't consider the a hermi trait - I do - I call any female that can be coerced red into self pollinating a hermi.

If a female if chemically treated our hormone induced - that plant is not a hermi - there is a big difference.

Go read up on Boron - it appears a good dose of that will also make hermis

I agree 100% with Skeletor. I have totally abused some plants to the point of almost death and they have never turned hermi on me and still, reluctantly produced buds. I know it's a sin to abuse harmless plants, but trust me - these one's deserved it lol. I have had a plant go hermi on me from light stress, and that was done un-purpose too.

I would get rid of the hermies, just go ahead and toss them, but that's just me. Love the others, be gentle and use this first grow as a learning experience. You will get some buds out of it and your next grow will produce even more.

OK seriously speaking no more back and forth like kids I know about gibb acid and other chems,thats not what I was referring to.I was talking environmental.So tell me from your experience what does it?Too much heat?Too much humidity?Not enough water?Generally talking down to it and hurting its feelings?Sexual abuse?What exactly cause this plant which I'm assuming to be 100% male or female,to suddenly take on flowers from the other sex?Really I want to know
