what's causing this?

hello Aurora
I have grown DP blueberry before and some of the pheno types can be alittle touchy . From what i can tell from your pics they dont seemed damaged just alittle discolored I would give them alittle bit before getting to stressed over it .
I had two different ones and one was a nute whore the other could not take half strength nutes with out curling her leaves . Give her some time she will probably be the best out the bunch :wave:

Blotching

Blotching

As I see it that blotching could be from several thinghs.

1) If them pots are old (used ) terrecotta pots, it can be the stored up salts in it causing some pH or lockout problems.

2) Genetics, as blueberry is fairly inbred and known of having some mutants in the pool.

-I just experienced this on my all new Great White Sharks (GHS) after a week. While Hawaiian Snow were fine the sharks struggled, and my Warlocks where pale... I gave a little nutrientsolution and it sustained them for another few days, but finally I changed from the weak coco/perlite/vermiculite/potting soil-mix and gave them good ammount of growing soil as I up-potted them from 40cl cups to 2L pots.

Let us know how it grows :wave:

Hey Aurora {thanks for the warm welcome to your thread }
We ran the Dp blueberry a few times but the pheno's we had did not hold up to the rest of what we were growing so we let her go .
The best one funny but it had a mango taste to it not berry at all and when you compare it to DJ's bluemoonshine there was no comparison !!!!

DJ's bluemoonshine

Good luck with them I hope you find a great one !!!!!!

I also have grown DP's Blueberry and found a wierd mutant that gave me spots kind of like that...in my case there wasnt enough drainage and she was way overwatered...that was just my problem...she twisted and curled and looked like shit but far outsmoked all the others...should have kept her..still got more beans to pop...no worries yet...I visit my grow 11 times a day :pointlaug ...I love my green children...stay safe and happy turkey day..I do believe alot of people think to much about what they are doing...hello stoners do this everyday...some of my best stuff to date was stuff I almost forgot about and it just got little nutes...thankgod it was in the ground..

Hi Aurora,
You have to take the good with the bad, i've watched this board for several years and have noticed that some people think that the more posts they have the more they know;
not always true!!!
your an experienced gardener with a question just like we all have been at one time.
seriuosly, i think you just have a runt. i have had babies in identical conditions that have had very different outcomes. some are just runts.
goodluck in your grow, i love blueberry!!
