You have to go way out in the yard to find Pro-Mix at my HD. It's sold only in large bales, so you have to go outside. I'm in the northern hemisphere and my HD just started putting out all the spring stuff, including the Pro-Mix.

Happy days ahead! I love spring!

The only Premeir Horticulture products I have seen at Home Depot are the peat moss bales. I have been looking ever since I first heard about them having it and that is the only product I have seen that they offer. I have never seen Pro-Mix BX or any of their other products. If you get their Peat Moss you will have to mix perlite to the mix and Lime and Macro nutes to match the BX. The lime and perlite are a must, a good hydro nute should contain all the rest.

Oh yea ... Correct me if am wrong.:D I am sure I will get the "They are seasonal answer." Like I said I have checked in early Spring all the way through Summer and have never seen their products except the Peat Moss.

I went to our local nursery today.. i used half the bag of ff ocean forest.
That was left over form the wifes planting.. a real garden.. veggies, chili, etc.. Then in another pot i used black gold 1 cu ft. $7 bucks.. organic.. kinda compare the 2. Whats a good nute to use for veg feeding for outdoors.. cheap.. please.. peace.

Hi, I am in the Scotland. I have bought Sterilized outdoor soil, Lime free. Do you think that will be OK for my plants? I have read a lot about soil. But the products are not avialable in this country. Can anyone help?

ThankYou. First Time Grower.

Now if there was a soil that had enought nutes for the whole life of the plant that would be one thing....but if you are going to have to start using nutes in 2-3 weeks, why bother. I like the promix because it is like a clean palatte to work with...why would you want to be guessing in two weeks.."is it time to start feeding or not?". With the Promix their is no guessing, you know what you are adding to the soil...

And actually promix is a 'soilless medium' so soil probably isn't the right term here lol...

I concur with Sunny on ProMix - I haven't used anything but that in the past 4 years I have been growing. Another great benefit is that it is nice and airy, perfect for your root development.
