Whats a quiet, reliable 16" oscillating fan?

I'm looking for a good quiet fan to circulate air in a 9x9x9 room. Should I just buy one at wallmart or something or is it worth the extra to buy one at the hydro store?

no such thing as a quiet fan, not until they pull their fingers out and start using owl wing technology in the domestic market.

Buy from amazon, buy cheaper 18" vs any 16". Wal-Mart works.

Forget the hydro shops for most things.

Also, you will have.less grief if you treat fans like disposables.

Air kings would be the best if you don't mind the extra dough for sure

get a 18" air king off ebay. Not sure of how quiet it is but it is a good wallfan.
They have some nice looking pedestal fans that aren't real expensive. I was pretty shocked at the poor quality of the $25 Lasco that was delivered today. Even if it costs 3 times as much to get the quality you used to be able to get for super cheap, might be worth it. 3 or 4 year old cheapos were much better than this thing.

Appreciate the tip. Never heard of Air King before.

i use airkings wall mounted,i use the little rubber/felt like feet for furniture on hardwoods to prevent slide marks and place them on the part of the fan that contacts the wall, takes alot of vibration noise away

They had them at meijer, most stores dont carry them because these are seasonal items. I got this 18 inch lasko fan thats comes with a remote and has a programmable timer for $40. I'm not sure how good it is but I will find out very soon. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
