Man - sorry to hear that :badday: - (s)he was a beautiful specimen. Sometimes no or very little stress and a particular plant can hermie. I vent round the clock, so I don't think that's the problem. Just one of those things... The others have a good chance of being ok. Did (s)he have enough trichomes to sift / bubble bag her?

could it be i'm stressing the plants with the humming of machines??Mover ,fan,exaust,...and i do vent when lights are off can they get bananas from that?
I've never heard of sound stress before. I have heard that vibrations do stimulate roots though, so you may have something. Maybe keeping them from proper rest if their roots are being stimulated? Others say hermies are purely genetic.
That does pose a good question for someone able to give a scientific response.

Here's to the upcoming hash :friends:

Land-races, eh?

Land-races, eh?

:joint: Cough cough :joint: ... Thanks evolution, what's on it? :yummy:

So Core, we is interested in lan-races, are we? :chin: Just take into account that the genes of these are not as "selected" as most of the stuff you got going in seed banks, and could result in smaller buds, long flowering, ect, etc... :badday:

Nevertheless you also have surprices in between those, get a diff flava and event effect :bat: Best of all it's the possiblity of getting new genetics to mix and adapt them to where you are (this takes a while tho)

Just an idea of what you might expect from land-races: (in the same order as the pics) Bulgarian, Malawi & Mongolian.

this last picture is not mine

And check out what happens when you find a potential gene and start to play with it: Panama-Sand Storm :woohoo:

Again, pic not mine

Hope you like

Jah bless

Hola Core,

Alles goed, het sun is buiten :woohoo: Kan je spaans leesen? I came accross this article which has a section called: "La situación actual de las variedades autóctonas" (the present day situation of landraces) at http://www.cannabiogen.com/esp/investigacionDesarrollo/asesoramientoEmpresas/empresas.pdf

It basically talks about unstable genetic lines, low in THC because of the abundance of wild plants, politating crops that are intended to be used for fiber, seedmaking (food),thc... to name a few. So you'll have the pollen of the wild plants, getting mixed with that of the fiber & seed plants getting mixed in your "landrace" :badday: This is particularly true for countries where ganja grows in the wild.

Now, I'm not trying to discourage you :bat: I've tried some fine Malawi, Hawahian (sp?) & Jamaican herb :yummy: :yummy: :yummy: grown in situ and sold in the c-shops of the Netherlands (I've also tried Colombian, but nah...). All I'm trying to say is be patient, loving and, did I say patient already? :joint:

I apreciate landraces, I've grown a few (outdoor), and I love sativas, but where I'm at, the weather won't let sativas finish on time, and even some of the land races weren't quite "done" at harvest. Like the case of the Malawi on the pic, that was out until Dec.

... And for the record, no I'm no Genetic genius or anything like that, just sharing from my personal experience. Uh, and I didn't even talk bout getting them to germinate (I had a particular hard time with a strain I collected myself, but found seedbank that has it and the finaly popped).

Some parts of the genetics universe are a big blank for me, and that's why I got a post at the Breeders Lab, but no luck so far, my q's should be to obvious. Any ideas anyone?

Irie!

but i did order some columbian f2's myself, from annac's gear.....actually it came 2 day with 5 Kali-most beans....dug some info up and think this will be a great freebee:chin:

i'll take a look at that thread in breeders lab...just 2 read..im shure i can't help you there...

Hoi Core,

It's a pleasure to share the info with you and the rest of the people in the forum. I'm still a Jr, but like most, got my 2 cents

Ahh, so easy to just jump in the car and 30-45 mins later you're in the Netherlands, where you can find all the right stuff :woohoo: ... and in the meantime you "only" got 10 plants going? :yoinks: ... Nice. Can you update me on the strains AUB? :yummy:

Have a good trip tomorrow, and if you're feeling generous, pick up some stuff for me, I'm dry :bat:

Going back to the Dam eh? :woohoo: I already wanna go back too :biglaugh: If it weren't so damn expensive I could live that relaxed life for quite the while :smoker:
Have a safe trip buddy, and don't get run over by any bikes

You're very welcome TML, glad to be of assistance.

I don't think Core is going to A'dam itself, but just accross the border. It's way closer, and from what I understand prices for herb are more decent, tho the selection is limited, when compared with A'dam.

I'm very sorry to hear abou the Oxacan Core...

I'm busy with some landraces myself at the moment. About a week ago, a Panama and a CongoxCongo/Pakistan came out. From what I've read they are very much on the sativa side, so I'll keep them in pots, because they won't finish outside.

Had I planned it better, I would have planted them earlier and start to limit the light hrs after the plants has a decent size, to trigger flowering, but things were not planned like that. The plan is to cross them with earlier (more indica) strains, and try to find a compromise between effect and flowring period, coz 12-18 weeks is just ridiculous, unless you live in the topics.

Good growing y'all!

yea actually me 2 TML...can't do notthing about it...

ohwa and Browser is right just popt over the border for some suppleys and some shrooms 2 send out  it is't that far as aDam....its like a30 minute drive...:p...adam would be more fun but thats about 2.5 hour drive..

@Browser
yea its closer alright...but weeds are't that good there i think....lots of begium buyers and sometimes shops are low on weed....mostley in the summer.....sometimes i thought they where spinning there weed and then sold it.....Nhow thats my thought...

yea i'm sorry 2...got 5 more but i seem reluctant 2 try and poping them now...
but maybe i can follow you adventure in a while....not that much i know about them....but that timeframe does't scre me off...i got a perpetual going so that wont be a problem...it just needs 2 be worth it :yummy:

 core , i agree with ya.. when u got things kinda perpetual going u can afford the space for one or two longer flowerin plants, i prefer indica or high indica hybrids myself, but would be nice to do a real long flowerin sativa that is def worth it :yummy: i just dont have any seeds around lol, be nice to see what u can do with one , as u got a good green thumb and great enthusiasm for our beloved plant

Let me add my rendition of TAPS for your oaxacan lady - sorry to hear bro. I'm sure some more landrace plants will find themselves in your garden soon. As TML said, the rest of your lineup is killah - 10 plants, I'm green with envy - or did I just drink to0 much 420 tincture? :pointlaug Wish I had the room for 10 flowering girls!

Gonna ask a question - how do you make your multi strain grows look so easy? Mad props and :respect: comin your way.

Browser - lucky devil - sure must be nice to be a short commute from the Dam!:canabis:
