I know as humans we like to genetically modify everything We tinker with mother nature...but she'll always win in the end.
Stability in a plant phenotype can never be gauranteed by humans IMO

I had nanners all through that first CB-2 plant I harvested. Think I've found 4-5 seeds in it thus far Didn't hurt none.

Check for the light leak though...could be as simple as that.

I guess I have a simplistic way of looking at the weeds. I don't see a few nanners being a big enough problem to shut down the room.

well i took already 4 of them out of the room ...they had 50%+ brown hairs already...and a 5th the MF is still inthere but i'm tended 2 take it out also...so notthing much left ....i'll decide when i'm over the shock...

and yea lightleaks or interuptions at night are a deffenit ...it will stress them and it tricks your plants to turn hermafrodite making it dangerous for your crop to be seeded...and have only swag 2 smoke ...1 or 2 interuptions can be enough 2 trigger it....i'm a little amazed you did't kno this...this is a growers nightmare...atleast this growers mare

Hey Core, Sorry to hear about your problem bro. all you can do now is to put all your love and effort into your remaining 8. well thanks for the symphaty ojd ....but i'm shure not all of them are trowing nanners..its jsut as a precaution coz i found them on 1 of the AKH....the other 3 are almosty fully brown but i can't find any there....
hows thing going with yours...are you expiriecing similar probs?...ohw and outta 5 i did have 1 male...is't that weird......they where supposed 2 be feminised where't they?

wait a min!!! Lightleak during lights off?? coz if its lightleak during lights off then i don't have that problem coz as soon as the timer switches off i immediatly close the door & they'll be in pitchdark. I leave the door open during lights on.. & no interruption of light during lights off. I knew that of no lights during lights off, what i was asking if the light (during lights on) leaks out is bad... in other words the other wayround
but still i'm noob & i gotta be more careful... tnks!

but i got it all figured out...gonne put the 8 aside 2 just ripen off and i'm gonne try poping 20 luang prabang laos sativa's and put them straigt into flower .....after my 48 cuts are rooted that is......and i will put them 2gether with my 16 SSSDH clones straight into flower....and after a week or 2 flower i'm putting the rest in so they will have a little veg and these will be 16 SDv2.5 #2 and 16 PB's

i cut them the day before yesterday and all are standing proud already ...i'm shure we have lift off in a few days....

Yeah it's hard to say exactly what causes hermies..many say light leaks..some say genetics..I've always thought it may be both..
That genetics may make the plant more or less prone to go hermie..and light leaks and other stresses may be triggers to the mutation..
So different plants may have different thresholds before they trigger the mutation..who knows..just a theory..

if you close the door and see light leaking out..you probably have it leaking in when lights off..

I finally got a chance to post up here and hell has broken loose..hermies, I've had a few..
and I notoriously mess with the plants(take pics, feed um, etc.) when it's suppose to be lights out..the more I mess the higher the occurrence of hermies..

I burn the little nanners off with a hot paper clip..but if one opens and fans are blazing..I would take those plants early..rather than let the little seeds begin to form..

They suck and everybody gets one sooner or later..

Sorry to hear about the little "incident"... We were all looking forward to see the outcome of that run (and I was particularly looking forward too see the 1st Peewee finished). Couldn't you put then outside on a balcony or something? ... You have not cut 'em down, have you?

Your new run looks very impressive, and man you bounce back even higher than before!

So, was it a light leak of genetics (maybe a combo)?

One word of advice with the landraces tho, since these come from open pollination, you could find some hermies there too, and you'll have the same prob again.

i think you theory is right Packn.....it is genetics ..and light leaks can affect your plants ...even photoflashes before lights on ime...
so i guess it all depends on that you have a true female (genetic wise) or not....the less stable ones will be more prone 2 hermie i suppose...

and i will check the room again..maybe some X factors are playing a roll here...i checkt it out in the beginning...but you never know ...

but i'm not the guy that plucks nanners..i rather cut the biatch....(like i've done before)...she will be not worthy after all....

i woz 2 B,..... i woz 2...i would of loved some nice AKH...but not for this run...trew away the bad clones...but i will run the others again 2 see if they have nanners..but that will take some time...prolly next run ...

yes i have leaks out (from the growroom to out side) But when lights go off i even switch off the whole room (where the growroom is) . But now that u pulled my attention i'm gonna check the whole thing again at lights off & if i find leaks i'll seal the growroom.I'm sure they'll have pitchblack coz i checked it before but still i'm gonna make sure, Honestly i didn't know about this lightleak/hermie thing.. I was told before that they need pitchblack during lights off but didn't know what can cause. Suddenly my head is bursting with thaughts of it.. no sighns of herms tho!! but better safe than sorry. Damn core, sorry to hear about your problems with the nanners, but at the same time if it burst pretty late into flowering it wont hurt things too much ?

im kind of wondering if im going to run into some of the same problems with how i have brought plants from indoors to out and ****ed up there light cycle a bit....

either way hopefully those will still make some good iso or some sort of concentrate and the rest of your gals will hopefully pull through with flying colors...


i will wait to see you refill the empty slots and hope for the best.
