rumors of strains called trinity... kgb( killer green bud)
rumors of a clone only called death star (not a rumor. ohio, oreagon, cali)( sour d x sensi star)
rumors of the roadkill smell being a tijikistan landrace strain.... (north of afganistan)

rumors

if you know something speak up!

If you are looking for Road Kill Skunk scratch MNS Shit and Shark Shock off the list I've done a few packs of Shit no RKS and I did a pack of Shark Shock and same. I did get some pretty good weed from both but I doubt you will ever find a RKS in either lines.

I have heard you can find RKS in some Mexican bag seeds but you will need to do a good bit of breeding to bring down the flower time and it won't be just any bag of brick weed. But if one were to go strain hunting in Mexico and/or Columbia I think you can find one since that's where most of the weed came from in the USA way back in the day.

And worst case scenario you will find something worth breeding with something truly unique must be out there.

You folks did hear about Breeders retail here at Icmag, they are trying to make skunk #1 seeds available.
Tony Green got some of the first batch before they were discontinued and he says he is gonna torture up some skunk #1 till it gives up all its secrets... well somthin like dat! :)

Somebody bring back the real SKUNK! I think we have what people are calling LOUD strains but skunk would be sooo cool, even if just for a novelty item/conversation piece.
Most would start with "Remember when.............:smoke out:

Thanks for your contribution shaggy but in my opinion those ancient skunk#1 seeds should have been germ tested before release at the very minimum.... What professional business/industry releases a product that hasn't been tested? This is a seedy business indeed!

Also, in my opinion, an open pollination should have been done and those FRESH beans should have been offered up...Edit 2 add....people have been demanding these seeds for at least a decade, documented here on icmag alone... That's enough time to produce fresh seed stock

Either way... This is not a skunk#1 thread, cheers

Am I right in thinking, I read that Sam told Reeferman to search for skunk#2 for rks type plants and that some old time grower still held them in Rotterdam?
I could be wrong but I'm sure I read that once.

The seeds in question were germination tested in October, I have pics of them from October 16th germinating with 2" tails (attached). When BR received the seeds they released them thinking it was the same batch that was tested, unbeknownst to BR they were taken from a different barrel that had a poorer germination rate.

I personally visited the storage site with Sam last week and we took 2 kilo samples from each barrel, and have again started to germination test them all. One of them I am told has shown signs of life - I was not there as I had to depart the continent before the germination results were in. BR will again test them when they receive the new batch, to ensure customers get solid stock.

As far as doing an open pollination, people want the original seed from the source, not an open pollination thereof from a third party... those could well be made in the future but people wanted the originals and they wanted them right away, so we made them available. Anybody and everybody who has dealt with BR will be compensated and had been offered double thier payment in credit towards the upcoming batch, or any other Cultivator's Choice products in stock.

However, saying BR acted to sell untested seeds is neither true nor accurate. Please try to keep your comments inline with reality and not make things up.

Thanks but do you have anything to contribute to the thread in regards to its original topic?

Cheers

When people not in the know spout mistruths, it's perfectly fair to correct those mistruths with facts.

I guess the real question is, do you have anything on topic to contribute to the thread?

Also br was offering 100 seeds for 60 bucks... said not to expect good germ rates stating the seeds age... I wish they would of let me order them regardless I wanted to try and would of ordered 3-400 ... now I wait to place my order wishing I ordered the other things I wanted anyway like the rest of the world and continue my search for true RKS.... through the years I probably sourced 100 cuts n I've found close but not pure there's always something else mixed in with rks either hints of cheese or slight fruity notes like the UK skunks or gas pine diesel cleaner chem funks like our strains... the closest thing I've found so far is Texas shoreline it's very stinky skunk plant in every spec but has a sharp gasoline/astringent chem bite to the nose that makes me say I'm gonna keep looking but not letting her go either...
Trinity has it to but also a musky not floral but floral funk underneath... plus it's probably one of the tiredest clones ever growth wise I just couldn't take her attitude anymore kicked her to the curb for shoreline... can even see it in her flowers n leaves stem rub in veg is pure skunk it's mid flower the gas comes out... I bet organics n outdoors may be the trick in bringing more skunk out of her... wish I can post better flower picks but I mostly keep little's for myself
