i suppose if i had a son it would be a whole different story. This is my first child but in my instincts im just overprotective of my lil lady. For some reason i've never liked the idea of women doing drugs. I know im a sexist pig this and that but thats just me and its just my opinion.

edit: ok people are going to misunderstand that statement so let me clear it up a bit. I dont like the idea of a woman im with or of course my daughter doing drugs. I've smoked with my sister on numerous occasions its just different.

Of course if my daughter does get into it and, god help me, falls in love with the herb i will teach her responsible use and the importance of staying low key.

I'd probably be well strict about it. Cuz when I was at school I loved weed so much I ditched all the classes to smoke it. I'm not dissing weed, there were only 2 stoners out of 20 that ditched the classes to get high.

you misunderstand. I would NEVER stop my woman from toking or doing anything she wants to do. So I married a woman who chooses NOT to smoke or drink, and has no problems with me indulging.

I wish my red neck kids would sit and have a smoke with me instead of thinking that I have gone mad. Dare fukked me, and I did tell them the truth,at that time, to no avail, they both use booze and I'm a bad guy for growing flowers. reckon they were done with me anyway, except for my wallet. It scares my Dad, at 77, but he accepts that it is better than the vodka that killed me once. And I am slowly explaining medical herb to him, in bits as he asks a question now and then.

my son told me wen he was 17 that e'd been smoking weed since he was 16, i was cool about on the outside but i was concerned on the inside. in them days i'd never smoked weed or been high. over time i carefully found out more bout wat he was doing and did som home work on smoking weed.

in the end i ended up growing and getting stoned myself, 3 years down the line i grow enough for my self, my mates, my son and his mates.

me and my son r going to the 420, he's wanted to go but non of his mates ever get round to it.

wen i got into growing i was split from my x wife and went to c my kids 3 times a week, my son asked me to get him weed so he wudnt hav to buy it in the pub and get ripped off. so i got som of wat i'd grown and went to c him, he asked me to drop him off a the pub but on the way he saw his mates walking up the road and said i'll get out here.

as he ran across the road to meet them he had the herb in his bag, he was waving it above his head and shouting at them (very excitedly) "I'VE GOT MY SKUNK, I'VE GOT MY SKUNK !!" I just sat in the car shaking my head thinking "Wat hav i don".

everything worked out ok, he's just got his own little house and i'm teaching him the art.

i am 18 and have been smoking since 15, my parents have always been against it and trying to make me stop etc. but after years of me explaining how its no worse than them drinking every night and alot of other info i got from overgrow explaining how it isn't as bad as everyone thinks. they eventualy let me grow in my room at 17 so i didnt have to waste time with dealers, but they had always still be aginst it abit. recently i decided to stop growing in their house as they could get in trouble for it if i got caught. now they are completely fine with it and hopefully with time i can get my dad to try it....

I had to take a picture of that picture to get it online.. that was back in the mid 70s. outside them shed doors is a whole huge garden of veggies, citrus, cacti, and cannabis. I and other children would run through the garden path and play hide-n-seek in the array of floral plants.. I can still remember my mom, and friends parents saying to us kids "If you break this plant (pionting at the cannabis) your not going to be allowed in the garden anymore, so be careful". hehe.. I liked the seclusion the plants gave me, and the shade, smell, looks, etc.. The most amazing thing is that i never even smoked pot until I was injured in a motorcycle accident around age 23. My mother wouldn't let me touch cannabis, but had no problems with is around the house as a plant and just a plant. So i firmly believe that education of plants, guns, explosives, anything that will hurt them and take them away from us. 'cause me as a perent would be just dumbfounded if my kid died from something i could have stopped with a few words. .

I was lucky- I had smart kids. They have always known that we smoke joints and their Dad smokes tobacco (rolls his own), too. We didn't hide it from them, so what was there to talk about? To the world, it was a case of "It ain't nobody's business, but our own." How did I keep them from smoking? I explained that their lungs were still growing and smoke would hurt them. Since I've always tried to be honest with my kids, they believed me- plus the visual of their Dad coughing all the time drove the point home. Neither of them smoke anything and their drinking comes to about a single six pack a year- they're couple of straight edgers, almost. Never-the-less, they love their hippie Mama, even if I do toke every day.

i definitely wouldn't be down with my kids smoking dope until they had high school wrapped up...i'd tell them it wasn't because pot or drugs in general are 'bad' per se, but that they got the whole rest of their life to get fucked up and they should be doing the shit when they're young that they won't be able to do when they're older...i don't think kids should be using any drugs really unless they have some sort of life threatening condition, i think adolescent brains should be allowed to be fully developed b4 doing that stuff...i think kids are better off in general if they leave drugs, alcohol and sex until they get out of high school...i know maybe that isn't super cool but not graduating and being a burnout is way less cool...its a lot better to get a late start and burn out after u got a college degree and have worked for a couple years, lol...
