micro machines, mean green machine, and dirt. I used to grab a big spoon from the kitchen and dig big ass cities and roads for my micro machines and cars, I would seriously spend hours on end just digging in the dirt with a spoon.

good times.

I've been reading this thread for the past couple days and just about everybody is spot on, fron cans of gas and matches to hotwheels, rockm sockm robots and creepy crawlers.. but this. The motherfuckin pizza thrower. This was it for me. one of my all time favorite toys.
I still remeber the warning on it, "do not aim at animals or children"
Seriously its like telling a crackhead to use baking soda to make baked goods, but hey btw if u mix it with some cocaine the levels of enjoyment reach a dangerous peak of awesomeness.

I wonder what the fatality rate is among these? Got to be the highest of any army. :dance013: I know I did more than my share off ripping and biting of heads, arms, etc. then came the 'artillery' of buried firecrackers that blew them sky high.

omg the pizza thrower :joint: i loved ninja turtles and the toys, but my parents never got the playsets or the cars... but i FOUND the pizza thrower at the park near my house, probably the greatest day of all time

I use to get a brand new set every year and also I'm not sure but i do believe the name was sst's with the long ass plastic T and the Dragster that did wheelies, you would put the chord in and pull it and set it down that would pop a wheelie and go like hell.

this dude has some awsome old time sets and other stuff as well if you ever want to check it out Kalico, brings back old times.

Damn thanks for mentioning those.I remember having them in 1977-1980.They had a plastic rip cord to start the wheels moving. And on impact ,parts would fly off ...that was a awesome toy !!!

I had the football ones that were electric. guys would vibrate all over the field.
You were correct on the name of SST's. Citgo gas had smaller versions you would get if mom/pops got a full tank of gas.
If you want to make some decent extra $$$$, hit up the yard sales and buy the old toys up. People pay an arm and leg to get the toys they used to have but mom eventually threw away. I made a ton on old hot wheels.
