What to do with this 1000 HPS

sry jerrypakul: i don't have any practical experience with 1000 watters so i couldn't give ya any real advice that would help. I was just goin through the thread and got confused at that one post, didn't help I was stoned out of my mind

You were correct when you asked if you should use a 4 ft octagonal hood,thats what I use for flowering plants they are great.They are called vertizontals,a shallow parabolic that when matched with a hortilux lamp will flower some mighty fine buds.With the vertizontal you can burn horizontally or vertically thus the name,I would burn horizontally myself

got a question haha im a little slow so please bare wit me..ur final sentence kinda throws me off ur sayin how the octagonal hood is good an i should utilize my light vertically lol then u say ud personally burn horizontally can u explain please?

You are misunderstanding me I said with the vertizonatal reflector you can have your lamp either vertically or horizontally and I prefer horizontally it exposes more lamp surface area to the plant canopy.Google vertizontal you'll see what I'm talking about

i know a guy who knows a guy and i have heard they run a one 1k in about the same room skelator runs horizontal cheap maximizer hood ,hortilux bulb ,a small co2 generator and a C.A.P. monitor controller 1500ppm and i think he's got issXbc Kush , sensi #1, some diesel X g-13 and a couple durban X bubblegums.
Aprx 84 degrees lites on or so i'm told with a dehumidifier going. co2 goes off when lights go off temp drops about 17 degrees or so im told, it could all be a lie who knows

if i had that wattage i would keept half the grow space for matured flowering plants, the other half for plants to get switched to flowered ones the others had been flowering for a month. the 400w to veg the plants untill they are ready for the 1000w, then you will have a perpetual harvest every month.

keep a mum and take cuttings each time you put a batch in the flowering room

I'd do a pepretual too, maybe sog style grow with say 8-12 smaller plants under the 1k, half of them a month ahead the others..but if you want a fast crop then do a sog, give em a week of veg and then straight 12/12 depends on the strain also, with C99 and other small plants it works very well.

yield all depends on what he's got growing so many diff kinds very quite a bit 1/2 to 1 lb theres only 9 gals in 5 gal pots in his flowering room now , the guy uses soil and swears by sensizyme by a&n really helps roots ! about half what the directions say , he uses fish emulsion w/senizyme during veg and same during flower w/a&n 2 part A&B liquid 1/2 strength during flower, get a measuring shot glass off the web , very convieniant. it could be all bullshit but the smoke he has is VERY good. shut off co2 and all nutes 2 weeks before harvest he says . just water after that. Remember sensiziyme or simular product no matter what nutes you use. Best of luck BE SAFE make sure your wiring can handle things 1k lite 9amps don't overload one circuit .

Farmer John - Hey John thanks for the input and i agree...the strains that i got goin are a mummy of blue jack and nlxbb germin..
I cant find anything on the blue jack except for one report an it sounds like a small statured plant....as for the nl x bb it sounds like its gonna be a bigger an brancher.....but im excited i get to get started soon
