What to do with burned buds?

I have 2 Top 44 plants growing under a 125W CFL bulb currently at 9 days bloom. The advantage of the CFL is that the plants can grow to within an inch or 2 of of the bulb, but I hadn't counted on just how fast the Top 44 would shoot up. Last night I raised the light to about 3 inches over the top of the plants thinking "they'll never grow 3" in 24 hours"...

Well, actually they did! Only 2 buds actually came in contact with the bulb, so all the other buds even though they were very close seem to be pretty much ok.

But what should I do with the burned buds?
Should I cut them off or would it be better to leave them alone and let them grow as none of the buds have been entirely destroyed?

You can see the small scale of the damage best in the middle photo compared to the rest of the plants.

moving the flourescent away was a bad move
get it closer for the love if Jah! 1" away MAX.
keep fans rustling the foliage 24/7 just incase.
they grow sturdier with anice breeze on em too

u say 'buds' ,but, they look liek they are in veg?
if they were mine id bust the hurd and let it branch
i agree w/ sproutco you need to cut away the burnt
its of no use to you-will just attract fungus and pests

good luck here Ps. buy some green garden tie for flower.
those stems aint gonna support as much bud
as they are capable of in that configuration, without bein supported:wave:

Personally, I wouldn't touch a thing, just let nature take it's course and in the future dont underestimate the potential growth of mj. Also, after about 2 weeks of flowering you would benifit greatly from throwing a 150w hps in there.

personally, this is the worst advice i have read all day. you are calling the 'stretch' he encountered as, 'growth'

a 150hps after 2wks of flowering? what is two weeks and why wouldnt he add it now if he could? makes no sense dude.

should also mention that the goal when bustin the stalk like that is to crush the inner stem (meristem tissue) between two fingers, without breaking the skin. otherwise it attracts insects and will eventually look kinda ugly (brown) but the plant will live :) i usually dab the knuckle with a clean paper towel if i accidentally break the skin and a bit of sap leaks. also add a fan to dry the wound :) its kind of an art :biglaugh: but easy once you do it a few times.

hey not to mention that your plants look like theyd do great with a scrog screen added. this way you wont need to play master of puppets with the garden ties once they start putting on weight.:2cents: be well
