What to do with $10,000?

You could start your own business and grow big.The business would serve as a cover for the high electricity bills and could be used to launder money. Then after you multiplied your money you could do some research and look in what states you fetch the most mula for your bud and repeat the process

Wouldn't I have to worry about the landlord finding the grow when he comes to check on the place I'm renting/leasing?

My LL is happy as a frog in a pond that I'm willing to assert my Rights...

It gives them a sense of security knowing that I will deny access to their property.

I have an idea for a service that can be offered. It's more a long term idea though.

Genetic storage.

So you have millions of growers all keeping mums and live plants. Some of the more advanced can back up their genetics in seeds.. but many aren't interested in that aspect of growing. Also, many people lose treasured clones through disease and general trouble. Others may have to sacrifice nice plants for space.

My idea is that you get a cryofreezer. You then store genetics in the form of tissue which can be regenerated at a later date with a tissue culture method. This way people can safely store their elite plants and get them back if a nightmare happened.

I'm not sure how you'd turn it into a business. Maybe people pay a membership to store their genetics with you.. and pay a fee to have it cultured.

Anyone think this is a viable idea. I'd use it. I've lost loads of good plants and right now would pay some big money to get one or two of them back.

if your looking to move.. why? first off.. and id setup a grow.. honestly I nice ass grow.. and id make it all back in 1 grow.. lol. then have free weed.. and if your leaving the place your at because of laws.. that only helps your price point.. u stay high prices for good buds. period.. lol moving to a legal / med state isn't were u want to be if u want to make money.. the illegal states will always have a better profit margin for dealers and growers

and if you got 10k legal money u can spend.. start a vape store. or a headshop.. talk to some glass blowers who will give pieces on consignment.. something else.. lol . id go 100% legal .. start a real business.. with 10 grand legal money u can get a 100grand loan if u have a job .. start a small restaurant or bakery.. work with normal foods.. then incorporate weed into them wen its legal in your state?

This is the hard part.

When it comes to the landlord...so many thing could happen. Not to trip ya out, either seal that shit really good and plan harvest when hes not coming around..or plan to move or close shop down if he finds out. Depends if he OWNS it or works for a company that owns multiple properties...depends on his perspective on the plant as well...

if it was me....i wouldnt TELL HIM A DAMN THING! Id seal up the room up very well(we can help)and wouldn't tell anybody...my biggest mistake I ever made. You grow is like your genitals, keep that shit to yourself and loved one lmao,

Doesn't the LL have the right to go into any room?

many places give renters the right to 24 hour notice
not sure if this applies where you are
this question often comes up with peeps growing and given 24 hour notice
if you have the means to stash the grow some where else, that could work
but hauling around live plants always seemed like a sketchy deal to me

I've grown in rentals for years without having to break down mid crop...
That's not to say there haven't been close calls and things come up that were a pain in the ass to deal with like, the furnace breaking mid winter while the basement is chock full of plants.
Obviously I prefer growing in a situation where Iam the landlord or the landlord is one of my friends and they know what I'm up to (in a general way).
It can be done, but it may stress u out at times... I know it did stress me out.
And where Iam the landlord can gain access to the property with 24 hours notice (but only for a legit reason)... Not too see what kind of underwear ur girl has in her closet.

I'm thinking now I'll just have a couple cabinets with 800-1200w untill it (hopefully) gets legalized in some way here. Does anyone know kow long it would take before you could open a store etc. after it gets voted for?

You want your business model in place before legalization. How long it takes is up to you. I have no hope for Florida. Good luck.

Where are all these big growers and extractors working out of that are in California, Oregon, etc? Are they doing it in owned houses or apartments or rented/leased commercial space? Also, I've been looking at the proposed marijuana laws on the 2016 FL balot and none of them are to clear from what I can tell as far as producers go. Would I be able to lease some commercial space and have a decent size grow and sell it to the shopd or would there be liscenses I would have to get? If anyone knows more about the proposed legislation on the 2016 please shed some light.

you will not get a clear answer on this, as best as i can tell
the prior proposition which was voted down in 2014 may be on the florida ballot in 2016
what i did see was some members here posted they had talked to lawyers
based on that, they were ready to start growing in florida for 'legal' sales as soon as that prop became law, which didn't happen in 2014
the 1st growers will find out what the legal interpretations are the hard way

Landlord should let you know beforehand.People always told me never grow in a house or apartment you own because cops could confiscate your property.
