I got a plane to catch at 7 am.

What times the train station opens? Is it 6am? Then i might be late! And miss my flight? "ive never missed a flight yet" quote comes to mind... K+ to all who tell me what movie its from.

Amsterdams got one of the biggest and busies airports in the world youd like to think they had trains running there 24 hours...

Trains to schiphol airport drive all night and you get out of the train in the middle of the airport.

trains run around the west of the country (Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam) all night long, so the station should be open all night

a cab to the airport from the center area of Amsterdam would probobly be between 30-50 euros... and that's if you don't have a crooked driver who's trying to scam you

central station used to shutdown at midnight so they could kick all the smackheads out ,they would then sleep outside the station till it re-opened then all crawl back in ,,this was in the late 80's ,,

I was there this past friday morning around 4:30 Am. They had tape, like crime scene tape, that said "closed" on the doors of the entrance to the right of the main entrance and although the main entrance was open there were four or five employees there blocking the entrance into the terminal beyond the ticket machines. The first train to Schiphol left the station at 5.00 am. My buddy had a plane to catch at 7:00 am also and we made it there in plenty of time. Me? I sat around for a while, got a coffee to go and went outside on the upper level near the departures gates and puffed up the last White Widow joint I had, then hopped my plane to Newark.
