I certainly believe that there will be Indigo. And that underscores my point 1 1/2 to two oz's to smoke for $125. What?!?!?!?

   Yeah, you're right Smokey.....the Canna-bargain of the century! :D

smokey....you have a great point.....with a deal like that how can you NOT take advantage of it? Last time I was there I sure spend much more money for less smoke. And, I would imagine the judges samples will be top shelf...this is gonna be fun.

It's not worth it for us, we die if we'd try 'n smoke that much in such a short time :biglaugh:

Thankfully our fine herb has NEVER killed anyone. Driven to insanity and broken marriages of course...but not death...:)

that 300 is only one category remember..... also remember that in reality the number of entries has nothing to do with the cost in real terms as they are sent in...the entries are not paid for. I might be cynical but it looks a bit oppurtunist to me, and if someone has saved money going on last yer as rough guide, expecting a small rise(ie not tripling) perhaps....well I bet im not the only one who's fucked it
well im priced out of it now so never mind, but i hope you all have a wonderful time....
Be lucky

if you guys check out the thread about the entertainment for the event, you'll find that 300 bucks is well worth it, specialy with all thats included.

also you really must think about the trouble involved, there are always many overheads to be paid. and i think if i were to go to all the work etc to organize such an event i wouldn't want to be out of pocket at the end if you get what i'm saying.

I can understand for some that have been to such events & mabey paid less...whatever, but my personal opinion(1st timr') is this is the event of a lifetime & cost is not even a factor. I wish i could get a judges pass, but entering each catagory i have to settle for a guest pass. Hope i get to at least try some of the entries :)

......Harry......just show up man..........would be great to have you about for the event.......same for all of you......

....usually the judges are overwhelmed by their task and need lots of help from others at the event to try and get some sort of congnitive result on the judges form.........

....I have often seen a Judge recruit 2 or 3 other growers to help out with judging their own judges pack............so you will most probably be press-ganged into helping out with the judging by someone.....methinks......

That's right Harry, don't let the cost of passes scare you off, you'll find yourself refusing weed halfway through the first day....its like a Roman orgy with weed replacing sex (which is readily available around the corner in red neon illuminated windows), what you save on the passes you can spend on sex and get overly stoned anyway ...if that's your thang, that is :D LOL!

If I can get it in the post in time, count on smoking my HDF. I'm gonna send over 4-6oz for EVERYONE to enjoy.

Harry/3Leg....

I'm thinking seriously about recruiting some helpers...just as Gypsy mentioned...to assist (my wife and I) in the judging process of these MANY, MANY samples. To me...a wider consensus...even though I feel I'm certainly qualified on my own to do so...would be a good way to go...and would be a way to ensure that all the samples got their due. 4 people smiling and nodding in approval...or gagging together in unison...would serve as proof here who has the good sheeee-at and who has the crrrap! In addition..it'd be a great way to meet some of the fine folks here on IC in person and do what we all love to do in that light...

We're arriving on the 15th...very early AM. As soon as we can get the samples..the fun shall begin! Hopefully it'll be as soon as we can walk across town and pick em up...

gonna be SOOOO much fun...

You need to think nice things sweetie, today is the first day of the year and I can't have you walking around with a frown...we need to kick it off with a smile if we expect to get something good out of it! Are your plants healthy? Jars decently refurbished? Friends here on ICMag? Reason enough to smile

Cheer up sweetie, and seriously, don't deprive yourself of the Cup experience because of the passes, you'll feel like your judging anyway!

I grew up living above a pub, my mum and da(while they were rogether) ran it....My mum was the ultimate party hostess, so very vibrant and always knew how to make a party a party... It just feels a bit empty thats all and ive been seeing everything through teary eyes the past few days.... It'll pass
thanks for caring

Harry sweetie, I most certainly do care quite a bit. You've gifted me with so many smiles over such a long period of time that the least I can do is try to cheer you up. Tis a difficult time for many, emotions-wise, and I do know where you're coming from. I'm sorry you're sad. Try to shift the empty feelings in remembering your mom to feelings of treasured memories, warm and fuzzy, and yours to keep.

Have a wonderful New Year my friend
