what size pot should i use for my lowryder#2
with it being an auto flower they only grow 10-16 inches
i'm germing seeds paper towel/airing cupboard method (only way i know how to successfully)
they will be going straight into pots when germinated so no transplanting
breed for seed indoor
my style is usually indoor/hydro but i'm venturing outside again this year after last years disaster
better prepared and with better varieties
got some 'the church', totally mould proof according to Arjen (we'll see) just starting veg period now
any info on pot-size for LR#2 much appreciated

Well they can get 2'

I grow my autos in 1 gallon pots and then transplant to 2 gal pots right before they go into flowering. If using synthetics, then 1 gal is fine, if organics 2 gal.

canna terra professional soil mix and dampened soil with a spray of rhizotonic ph adjusted to 6.3
i don't feed until little round leaves yellow??, at least i do in hydro
please correct me if i'm wrong
i'm under the understanding the soil mix has added nutes or am i reading it wrong
f**k, i do feel like a newb

i was taught to grow by someone who only grew hydro and found it real easy, fast turnover with complete control, opened my eyes, couldn't believe it

should i have germed seeds in pots?
right i'm gonna search for my 'the bible', got loads of q's otherwise

From what I read and undertand, your soil has already got added nutrients. In this sense there shouldn't be a need to add extra nutrients (the rhizo shouldn't bea prob).

My suggestion is to just leave it like that (sorry, I can't help you with pot size, since I haven't tried LR before, but 2 gallons should be enough). You could (but don't have to) add extra flo nutes once it starts, but watch out not to burn the plant, coz of the nutriens that already exist in the plant.

Whether popping the seeds in towels or directly into the pot, shouldn't make much difference.

Good luck!

how long is the nutes in soil mix likely to last?
also, is it just as easy to burn plants with nutes in soil as it is in hydro?

probably worrying about it too much but after last years outside disaster i wanna get it 100% right this year or i'm staying indoors for forseeable future

i've never enjoyed learning about something as much as i have with weed, pure joy :joint:

Yo EZ,

I have not xp indoors or with hydro. Having said that, I can tell you that:
- The nutes in the soil mix that you have are likely to last for the lifespam of ur LR, and you might use that soil once again, maybe addind nutes this time.

- If the soil if too "hot" (coz of nutes) it will be more difficult to clean it (flush) than with an hydro setup. With hydro you simply pull the lid, with soil you have to water with clean water, but since the nutes are in the soil, this might be a very lentghy process.

thanks for that, no added nutes for duration of grow sounds about perfect for me, though i will keep an eye on them

i don't plan on re-using soil mix so no dangers there

you just can't get all the answers out of a book, cheers
