Your "teacher" doesnt sound much like a teacher....

My first "partner" thought he knew everything too... OMG guy didnt know his ass from his elbow. He taught be basics... But honostly i didnt trust his word for shit so i found ic mag...

After one harvest i soon realized i was way better on my own. I have been on these forums "studying" for the last 5 years... This site has all the info you will ever need. My advice is to take the advice from the "master" with a grain of salt if something doesnt sound right ask ICMAG you WILL get the right answer.

I can predict that you may have problems with your "teacher" in the future... Best of luck to ya and hope that is not the case.

Thanks everyone! I have a few more questions.
How much more yield is there with hydro or aeroponics vs dirt with the same lighting?
With the cost of the electricity, it may be cost effective to invest into a different system next round.
How do people claim they are getting 4oz per plant in dirt? Is this based on using chemicals that are non-organic?

Have you ever used FF liquid ferts in ur hydroponics system? I was wondering if it would be useful with coconut coir to pre-charge it. Probably just throw some Ca+ in there with it. Do you know anything about coco? Does something get locked out above 5.8-6.2? Above that? I'll make sure there is a sufficient supply in the soil. I'd really like to work in a good hydro shop some day. Something with rainwater and a greenhouse.
OP if u're not some fucking narc, I'd love to give u a hand.

:cathug:

after doing the organic thing with FFOF for a while and switching to dwc hydro and using "those Baaaaaddddddd chem Ferts" i noticed little to no difference with respect to taste or potency so long as a flush was used at the end of the flowering cycle. I dont claim to be a pro, jsut an old grower, but the only thing i got from switching to hydro was a better yeild. So to answer your question no i dont use FF ferts in my dro. I prefer ionic. you see back in the day when you went to the dro store you had two chocies, GH or Ionic. I picked the black bottle and it has always done me well.
