I listened to this story and music by Pete Seeger as a little feller growing up, on an old hardwood console stereo cabinet the likes of which they don't make anymore that I know of. Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Odetta, Harry Belafonte, Nat King Cole, Louis B Armstrong, and much more.


wooden stereos there a blast from the past ,,i used to have a wooden record player with two speakers that somehow picked up radio when i turned it off,, even tho it didnt have a radio lol

Harry Niilson's 'The Pont' is distantly similar in theme to Seeger's tune and story posted a little bit ago.

A favorite from 1972/1973, from music appreciation class in the minimum-security juvenile facility.

That's what happens when you send student teachers to such a place to teach during a social revolution, to rehabilitate younger revolutionaries. They get together and start sharing life and talking, and from there on.... :)
