When I first moved to the mountains in 81, had a party with people who worked at the hospital and a manufacturing plant where my soon-to-be ex-wife worked. Had everybody from doctors and nurses to redneck mechanics and we had music rockin' the mountains.

I had put on JJ Cale and one of the rednecks said, "Who the fuck is that ripping off Lynyrd Skynyrd." I tried to explain to him that JJ is the one who actually wrote the fucking song.

He really didn't believe me.
