He reminds me a bit of 'The Big Man', Leslie West (Mountain), who, when you watched him play with such precision, with giant fingers that I used to tell people you could build a log cabin out of, still hitting individual strings without clusterfucking his efforts, despite the size of his digits, was a phenomenon to behold.
His birth name was Horowitz, born, I believe, in Brooklyn or the Bronx in 1960, and I want to say he began playing drums at age 13. A far cry from the intricacies of lead guitar.
He's been with numerous record labels, including Sony, I think.
And LOTS of festivals, events, and clubs.
