Valdy stayed at the Hippie School in the Yukon Territory for a short while in the mid-1970s, and there are numerous photos of him sitting on the front porch at the Indian Residential School (Chootla/Chootlah Creek Indian School) near Carcross, Y.T. that 'we' had converted into an alternative school in the early part of the 1970s.. playing music and singing along with the students and parent members.
He also performed at the Farago Folk Festival in Faro Yukon Territory, along with Bruce Cockburn, Pied Pair or The Pair of Pied Pumpkin (can't recall which phase they were in at that time), et al, back when Cypress Anvil Mines (Faro, Yukon Territory) had enough income to fund the festival as a write-off.
He did a home film once of him hitchhiking to his own concert in Canada (He's a Canuck). No idea at this moment if that footage can be found on the internet or not.

Pied Pumpkin later became The Pear of Pied Pumpkin, then later on, Pied Pear. A somewhat well-known Canuck band back then that sometimes appeared in Whitehorse, Y.T.
