I favor studio versions cuz i know how many takes the artists go through trying to get it just right..i like live versions but what happens is the artist on stage is saying to themselves "ok this song is 3min 30sec in studio, but i have to be up here on stage for the next 2 hours...wtf do i do?" ...they start improvising and it gets very far from the thing the passionately re-recorded again and again cuz one flubbed note pissed them off.
