Wel, i like my job but i don't love it, i mean i might like it about as much as i could like any job though, but they call it work for the reason, i keep going because i need and want the money, so i don't want to get fired. and its not that i love the money, its that i love what i can do with the money and with the vacation i get if i keep working. a week or two a year of Doing crazy shit and going interesting places really refreshes you. weed is a part of my life, but not a huge part, well except maybe said vacations, unless they take place out of the country where i can't bring my own, and its subject to whether i can find any without trying too ahrd

Nothing. Thats why I wake up in the afternoon.
Funnily enough you took the words right out of my mouth.
On any day that I don't have to get up in the morning, I usually enjoy a 12 hour sleep and wake up around 2-3pm. To be honest I wish I wasn't like that, but if I set an alarm I don't even think when it wakes me, I just take a swing at it and close my eyes again.

What motivates me is getting through the week of work and schoolwork which essentially eats up 90% of my weekdays (well, at least feels like it after making dinner and sleeping), day by day, until the weekend comes. So basically at this point the weekend motivates me because I can bike, RELAX and not think about schoolwork for the most part, and have fun with some hobbies. Oh yeah. My hobbies motivate me too. :)

I'm wondering what motivates each of you to get up in the morning?

the alarm clock.

Ha! just kidding... but really... thats pretty much what gets me up... philosophical pondering doesn't begin until around 9- 10 AM.

When I remember to, I try to live every day like its my last. It is so easy to just let the days slide by... and then you wake up with half of life gone. I'm trying to avoid that whole ordeal.

I get up to go to the same job I've had for 22 years and will retire from in 8 years. I'll be 52, and then I won't have to get up if I don't want to. But, I'm a morning person anyway. I love that morning cup of joe, and if I've got weed, I love that along with it, even though I really shouldn't have it before work. I have a wife and 3 kids, so getting up on time and getting to work on time is something I think is the right thing to do as a good example for my kids. Plus, I appreciate my boss, she is awesome, and I appreciate my team members, they are great people for the most part. I only get about 5 hours straight sleep at night, so I'm up about 3 or 4 am anyway, and go to work around 7 am, so no biggie really.

I have zero motivation, i just do stuff because I have no other choice.

I get up in the morning because if i don't I'll get fired and I won't have money to drive my car or money for anything else.

I get up because I have to go to class or else I'll fail my classes and I'll be stuck living with my mom forever.

If I had a choice I'd never get out of bed...... it's so warm and comfy I could sleep forever.

I'm not sure I'm motivated to get up in the morning. It's just something that happens.

My wife, who over the years has become an extension of my own being. My dogs and cats, who love me unconditionally, something that can't be said of most people in my life. To see the sun rise and set another day, and all that happens in between, be it peaceful or stressful. A desire to create, raise, and provide for family. Gardening, both MJ and roses and veggies. A good dinner. A good bottle of wine. Heartfelt conversation. As many have said, life is a gift to be enjoyed and savored because we only have 1 chance to get it right. I don't want to miss out on people or events that might enrich me.

that pretty much sums it all up, except replace wife with girlfriend, and wine for brandy/beer and add a day on the beach...
and change that "we only have 1 chance to get it right";
your not living if you are worrying about living right everyday, making mistakes is a part of life, as is learning from them for most.

you never really know who your real true friends are until they are taken away from you, or you are taken away from them and they don't visit you when they live 10 miles away...
I hate to say it, but this is yet another thing my mom told me when I was young that I didn't believe;
"when you are my age(45ish at the time), you will be lucky to have a handful of real friends."

i also wake up every day for live music. if it wasn't for music festivals, i don't know what i would be getting up for, i have a decent job and i am still young and going back to school.... i am going to be one of those guys who still goes to them when i am 60.

lastly, like everyone else here mj and everything related to it.
all day today I could not stop thinking about the new batch of ISO.
