I gotta agree with Sow the Seeds. City of God is a really intense movie which kicks ass. Makes me hate prohibitionists (of any drug).

BUMP - "City of God" should be classified as a documentary, that is the real day to day in Rio De Janeiro and most ghettos in Brazil's capitals, exceptional directing and cinematography too. If you liked it you need to see "Carandiru", a true story also of similar shock value and great acting, it is so real and a "Pulp fiction" type feel.

PS- Don't waste your time or money with "Turistas", the new Hollywood bullshit movie. It's all fake and the scenarios, acting and plot are just terrible, pure crap, no gore, no horror, just lame ass made up shite...

I can't choose just one.

Here are my favourites:

Donnie Darko
Waking Life
The Big Lebowski
Pulp Fiction
Easy Rider
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
Blow
Kill Bill

Anyone want to reccommend me any other films that I should watch? You can tell I like philosophical, trippy and sometimes funny films mainly.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Hal

The Milagro Beanfield War

Full Metal Jacket

2001 A Space Odyssey (large screen imperative)

The Big Lebowski (see it again, and again, and again...)

Baraka (again...the bigger the screen the better)

Who Killed The Electric Car?

I just saw Igby Goes Down today. I wouldn't put it as a favorite of mine, but it was very good. Kieran Culkin is much better than his older brother. It reminds me of Catcher in the Rhye in a lot of aspects, perhaps that's why I enjoyed it...

hells angels on wheels ................... have you seen it or not ?

I just watched it yesterday. Quite strange I must admit...obviously a low budget film but surprisingly turned out to be pretty good.

Jack Nicholson was great as always.

I thought the ending could have been done better however.
