There were two threads posted about this topic when the change was first made. I started one of them, and included a poll. Got lot's of positive rep, but then admin changed the thread title, and buried my post under some others. Last I saw, the poll vote was 55 to 3 in favor of the old style. The 3 votes for the new layout were there from the beginning (admin?), and didn't get a single additional vote the entire day. When it became 95% against the new format, thread got deleted, along with the other thread that also was complaining about the new layout. So, I expect this thread to be deleted also. I've never been a fan of censorship. I feel we're all adults, and should be entitled to "free" speech, as long as it doesn't violate the TOS.

I think if you're going to complain about anything it should be that the vbullentin software itself is incredibly outdated by over a decade. In 2013 there are much better solutions for forum based communities, but it's probably not likely to happen here for a community where the host expects you to pay for their products and their servers.

Simply click on the category name, and voila! THere you have it, all the subforums listed the way it used to be...

Good points being made by all. Mostly the same info is here as before, just a little clunkier with the new layout and like some have said not as visually appealing. I don't buy packs anymore but like to keep an eye on what the kids are into. prices have dropped over the past 5 years in a good way. BOG all weekend for $55? Rez fem sssdh for $30? And private breeders like Verdant and Stank puttin out the old school goodness for a steal? Ignore the drama and separate the bunk from the beauty. Appreciate the expert knowledge, beautiful pics and excellent strain availability here at ICmag.

Between this terrible new layout, and my posts being deleted for no good reason(ones that I recieved many positive feedback), after being a member since 2005 and still getting treated like a newb troll and all the bs that goes with this site, IM OVER THIS PLACE! really? the layout would make you leave? maybe the deleted posts and the new layout are a slight annoyance, but to say your leaving because of it is pretty much like the kid who takes the ball and goes home. luckily we don't need a ball. but seriously, i have gotten a lot of posts deleted over the years, situations where i got drawn into politics or religion mostly, passionate subjects for me lol. anyway the point is so what, it's no big deal. mostly you will find posts are deleted for valid terms of use related reasons. so getting upset about it is counterproductive

Yes your signature is way too long. Get rid of it. No one has ever bothered to read it, let alone bothered to click on your ten thousand links. It just makes your posting annoying to read.

"Love it or leave it" doesn't seem very helpful to me. Given there are easily navigable sites with much more active user bases out there it sounds like you're telling people to leave.


As admin haven't bothered respond to this thread or PMs and have deleted feedback about the change I'm left wondering what the point is. It seems like they don't want users to stay here either .

It's a bunch of bad business decisions, one after the other.

i think Skip might be tired of hearing complaints about the new layout, this isn't the first thread on the subject after all. i know it's never fun to have change forced on one, for those that navigated from the front page i sympathize. it was nice to have a map to the whole site. but the whole thing was getting really long, specially for the mobile users and their smart devices.

anyway what i'm trying to say, is that it's not the end of the world. even though we humans hate to change our habits, we are actually amazingly adaptable, before you know it you will be navigating the site just as fast as before.

i'm sure your thread was not deleted due to the op or the poll, but due to the kind of posts being made. i missed that thread.

but it's no news to site admin that most vocal members are not that happy about the change. these things take getting used to, not even sure if it's all done yet, in the end it might actually work better once we all get accustomed to it.

what ever man, the server fund is voluntary, so the host expects nothing from you.

members that want to, can send seeds in to the server fund VOLUNTARILY. many that do so are also doing it to get their name known in the seed game. but yeah, the site does have a really high server bill. so if members want to help with the server bill by buying server fund seeds, or donating seeds to said fund, that's their prerogative and shouldn't have any effect on your well being.
