i had PM on my last outdoor grow - after picking i dunked em in hyd. perox. and then in plain water - i also sprayed em in the sink with plain water- according to jose cervantes on youtube this removes the PM -

i see some now on an indoor grow and sprayed em with greencure - but i will also dunk em after harvest... according to jose, it does not damage/remove any tricomes...

I did this too.

It tasted like shit when smoked.

Did it affect your plants that way?

Conflicting info. Check out the beginning of the 2nd paragraph.

Wiki says:

Powdery mildew grows well in environments with low humidity and moderate temperatures. Greenhouses provide an ideal moist, temperate environment for the spread of the disease.

Seems like it likes both high and low humidity environments!?!?

..NO... i didn't notice any diff in taste- i actually used a combo of jose 's method, and another which i believe was baking soda and some lemon juice (i have to check n reconfirm the 2 ingred's, but one was def lemon juice)

so i dunked em in the hyd perox, then into the lemon juice plus, then i dunked em in '2' buckets of clean water... and then to further clean em, i gently sprayed em in the bathtub...

the reason i sprayed em in the tub was that after the 2nd of the clean water buckets , i still saw a bit of PM floating on the top... better safe then sorry...

Yeah PM isn't about "too high or too low" it needs that humidity swing. If I'm remembering correctly it spreads when it's dry, but it needs moister conditions to germinate?

hi guys, thanks for all the nice insights,
i updated on my diary, but also apply here:
PM 'pressure' has decreased after defoliating and ventilating a little, spreading diatomaceous earth by dusting with a socket to kill the aphids that transport PM.

i can't give any scientific conclusions, but what has happened in my balcony is that we had some cloudy days and even a little rain, then after the rain came a very sudden sky clearing, and started to be hot. next morning, i have much more PM pressure.

pm has shown only on the corner of the balcony, although in the other parts of the balcony, canopy is much denser and greener, in which i have some spiders now, another battle.

i still have some PM, but it hasn't spread due to 33-34°C temperatures and 20-22% humidity, also the aphids are mostly dead.

i am not claiming victory, but it is kind of under control... or preparing its comeback... i guess it only needs some cloudy/humid hours to strike again,

thanks a lot,
best regards

hold your fire - that makes sense as my temps are wild because of my grow room - high 90F when the lites go on for about 2hrs, then i turn on the fans and for the balance of the 12hrs on the temp is between 75/82F - at nite when the lites are off the temps go down into the mid 50F-

humidity is always low, sometimes below 20%- so yes PM can thrive in low and high humid conditions -

since i am at 6weeks of flowering, i hate like hell to use any spray's, but did hit em last week with greencure- and won't use anything else, but will dunk em after cutting in hyd perox ...

yes, pm likes both, more correct: it needs both in frequent changes to develop fast and spread furiously.
