What is the safest way to clean a roor?

All my other pieces get iso and salt. I'm not sure if that is too abrasive for the roor. I'd like to keep it in the best shape possible.

What does everyone use?

Thanks.

My tongue doesn't quite stretch to the dirty parts.

I'll just give it the ol' iso and salt. Should have a sparkling roor in 10 minutes :)

Thanks.

Check it. I own several roors.

Iso and salt. Shake for the standard min or so. Rinse with warm to hot water. You want the glass to heat up. Now pour in vinager and shake vigerously. The vinager DISOLVES ANY LEFT OVER SALT and leaves your glass sparkling streak free after you rinse it out. I rinse a final time with cold filtered water. Filtered water will not leave water marks caused by inpurites. If you have a piece that already has lime or calcium deposits left on it, use CLR or lime away to get rid of it. BE SURE RINSE WELL AFTER CLR OR LIME AWAY.
Iso and salt work well. Over time the salt will build up if you dont use vinager.
This method ensures your glass will ALWAYS be showcase quality after cleaned.

P.S. use filtered water in your bong to help reduce build up.

if you have hard water.. the eventual problem will arise of minerals embedded into the layers of resin that build up and leave white residue or light brownish white it its got resin layered into it.. this wont come off with alcohol and salt.. i use kaboom to take that shit off every once in a while but you have to be careful not to let any of that shit get on the ground joints! it will eat them down to smooth glass. and if you use something like this make sure you rinse it very, very, very, very well.

i know i have really hard water because this is always a problem for me maybe it won't be for you.. just like to help a man keep his roor pristine clean!

but yeah for regular resin removal salt and alchol are more than fine.

Gringo - awesome tip on the vinegar. I'll be giving that a go.

I have shitty water and don't always rinse with filtered, so I use roor's anti-lime solution.

I buy purified water by the gallon for .49 cents. Cheap enough to keep around just for bongs smoking. :bongsmi:

its not necesary to rinse with filtered water. I just do it cuzz I love my RooR.
You should still use it to fill your bong.
CLR or Lime Away will blast away any lime or calcium and prolly cheaper than RooR anti-lime.

Thanx Seedynono for the KaBoom! tip.

For my stubborn pipes and bowls, I use a product called Super Clean Tough Task Cleaner-Degreaser. It uses biodegradable detergents. It comes in a purple 1 gallon plastic container. You can find it at Wal-Mart in the automotive section. Careful, there is a similar product same bottle but says concrete cleaner. I havent used this one. Only cost $4.99

soak pipe or bowl in cleaner in a bucket or small glass to fit for few hours or so. Rinse with hot water and your clean. :chin:

If its real dirty...

You take it to the kitchen and put on some boiling water.

Get a coffe mug or short glass.

Throw the plastic bong away.

Make some tea with the water.

drink your tea and go the head shop and buy some glass.

if you feel like you're always cleaning your roor i've found that using a roor ash catcher works great... it's easier to clean than the entire roor and i'm less paranoid about breaking it.... i use a straight stem on the ash catcher and a diffuser stem on the main downstem... super smooth roor hits and longer intervals between cleaning... although the bowl gets dirty fast.

kosher salt and iso for me... salt isn't going to hurt a roor but rock salt is too big to really clean the crevices so i stick with kosher... morton's has the best grain in my opinion

that vinegar tip rocks though... i learn something new here everyday.
