what is the most euphoric strains you have tried?

current bb from dj doesn't necessarily taste the most bb in flavor. but the breeding project was built on the effect of the finished product. Euphoric effect was the main goal. after about 30 or 40 years of dj refining his strain for euphoric, feel good, stoned but not wrecked, smile, anti anxiety, work all day without sitting on the couch, type of effect that takes away any depressive thoughts I may be having, I do believe hes nailed it.

Hell, how many other strains started with the goal of the effect of the finished product for these effects, few and far between. 98% of todays strains are made for commercial aspects of high yield n thc. along with big flavor n taste. nobody talks about effect being the number one breeding goal. something to think about when choosing a strain for ur needs.

and this effect can be found in plants of dj's from any of his strains. most noticeably in the bb imo, though, flo has a little more of the upper head lift with this great energetic, feel good, work all day high too.

I love being high and medicated to the degree of having no depressive thoughts, but being totally functional, and can talk clearly with anybody, and they wouldn't have a clue that u r medicated.

it seems like a lot of strains ive read reports of people describing as euphoric or up and happy had lemon or lime citrus scents. I think the terpene limonine or limonene might be a component to up and happy possibly euphoric highs.

For me it was called Shiva. Don't know the breeder, it was the late 90s. The buds were dense, looked like porcupines or hedgehog balls because they had thick yellow hair and so resinous if you break it up with your hand it sticks like tar. It tasted like a skunk but looked more like afgahni. I took a small hit out of a bowl that was halfway packed, and tried to hold it in, and my lungs felt like they shrank and the smoke was getting bigger. Never had a feeling like it since. I felt like I could feel the wind coming off of things when they moved near me, probably the highest I have been. Would do anything to get a cut of it these days.

Some strains I found euphoric in no particular order


Romulan- special cut in the pnw
Ive tried maybe 5 different romulans but this one was on a different level completely. The most complex high i have come across. amazing depth. feels like embarking on an adventure as the high dawns upon you. very strong and unique smell and flavor like unknown fruit with purfume and spruce beer flavor and smell. the buds were fluffy bluish green with very long and skinny rust collored hairs pointed colas. clearish head, feels like your floating,uplifting, nice warm center with waves of goodnes flowing though the body. very antianxeity. promoted deep thought while being very present. enhances all sensations. very relaxing. philisophical and conemplative awe inspiring. like rolling together 3 or 4 different amazing kinds a bud into a salad joint.


I would say the blueberry, romulan, and unknown pinneaple were my top 3 favorite smokes of all time.

I found a guy... here in the pnw... picking up some clones today.

Raspberry cough. It is pretty good. It is a very "euphoric" or maybe it is more contemplative, you will go deep inside yourself and ask questions like "did I just say that or did I just think that? Shit. I don't want to ask because people will know I am higher than fV=<... " This has no couch lock. Definitely energetic, go places but take a taxi. That being said it is great for those in the arts, music, poetry, painting, etc.


I believe it is only available from Nirvana at least that is where my seeds came from. I got mine 5 for 40. I have more on the way.... this time I will clone the hell out of this before I flower her... I will keep her for years.

Maybe the cannabinoid ratio remains the same, but its my view that harvesting late will cause that stupor effect almost like taking a melatonin supplement with your weed. I wonder if it has something to do with the terpenoid composition changing??? Maybe its the flowering time differences that people associate the 2 different buzzes with sativas and indicas as its hard to take down a sativa way too late where the terpenoids change to induce the couchlock??

It is true that if a plant is taken early it will have its natural characteristics of energy/paranoia enhanced. It has to do with the stage the trichomes are in. I read this in George Cervantes book. Trichomes are 50/50 clear/cloudy the effect on the weed is energy/paranoia. It also has more mental than body high.

When it is taken when trichomes are cloudy and a little amber, neither speediness/paranoia will be enhanced nor will the couch lock or mellowness in the high will be enhanced.

When the majority of the trichomes are amber, it will enhance the couch lock, mellowness, and body high.

If your strain doesn't have couch lock then you will not enhance or minimize the effect taking it early or late. The timing of taking a plant will not create an affect but it will enhance those characteristics.

Prove it: Take a bud early when all trichomes are clear. Dry it. Cure it. Then take a bud off of the same plant at when most trichomes are cloudy and 10% are amber. Then take take the final bud when most of the trichomes are amber in color. dry them. cure them. then smoke the first one you took in the morning. the second one in the afternoon and the last one in the evening... you will find bud from the same plant will have the same basic high but you will also notice the early bud giving energy, while the later bud couch locks or mellows you down.

I tend to take mine on the early - to mid harvest.

Ive had Satori also and she is euphoric to me. She has a caffine effect as you can go for hours and get shit done too. My girl and I broke out in laughter while knocking the boots the other day finding humor in our

oh man TMI, sorry. Euphoic, yes. Smiles, giggles. I want to eventually try some Bambata (tiki) but not enough info/logs about her. But the ones Ive read she may be right up there too.

I haven't looked through all the post, so don't know if this has been mentioned.
Sensi seeds Northern lights #5 x Haze for me had a very pleasant high. With the Haze Pheno being very Cerebal and clear. Not had this strain for some years and do plan to buy a pack, regardless of the £120 plus price tag. I do believe this 20 year old strain can stand up to many of the newer more popular hybrids.

That sounds dead on like my shiva skunk, my cut is from old sensi stock before the decline, it gets its bud formation from the nl#5 in her but the terps and high are more towards the skunk #1. It's sad sensi has gone so far downhill

if u want that effect then definitely go for dj bb. true bb is a strain created by dj too. I would check that one out too. its got the bb sat dad I believe. but the quintessential strain for euphoric effect bred by dj is his blueberry he currently offers.

I was talking with dj at the cup recently about this. He talked about the different eras/releases of blue berry. He emphasized how previous ventures were influenced by other markets n business ventures with seed co's, but the current US seed release is the pinnacle of his blueberry strain. u can certainly re select n find a more yielding line, or more resinous, or more blueberry flavored. But this current seed stock represents 30 plus years of fine tuning n selecting for that feel good euphoric, take ur blues away, medicine.

yes dj shorts blueberry is the real blueberry that we have come to know and love. i would love to be hooked up with a dj short blueberry (blueberry muffin pheno, dank bottom end.. true blue flavor) a dj short bluberry sativa pheno that is also immaculate. i know its from the blue line but is selected for the blueberry sativa traits locked in. his old time moonshine and grape krush are both impeccable. truly representing his skills. i would be happy with a grape krush cut and blueberry muffin pheno. ive been searching for over 15 years. coming close many times but never found what i wanted...one day...hopefully my good karma ive been building up will pay off. i give out "gifts"... left and right. spread the love ya know? its paid off to treat people well, both online and in real time.. its the right thing to do.
