I'm guessing that would be enough to get LEO's attention, but maybe not enough for a warrant in most jurisdictions.

it's tough to know, because there are some judges that will sign off on a warrant pretty easily
i do know of one local case where neighbors were trying to narc on this guy for years for growing
it came up on the local news when he got into a fight with his girl friend and some shooting started, that did get the police involved
but that's what it took in this case, probably police thought he wasn't worth the trouble

not much it would seem. the cops know which judge to obtain a warrant from easilly.

Well then you are screwed. If you are in a place that you can't grow medically and she knows of your grow. Or if you are med and she wants to cause problems by saying untrue things about you (too many plants, too much weight, etc.), then her word to the wrong cop and judge and a warrant will issue.
Don't know exactly where you are but snitches are the number one way they get a warrant in many locations.
that's about as classic as you get, about half of the busted threads start out with the girlfriend in the 1st line
a witness counts big in the warrant process, probably beats all other causes combined

Has she personally seen the grow? If she has, she could sign a statement and that should be more than enough probable cause to legally get a warrant. The more information she has the greater the liklihood...... Does she know your handle here? If she does she can show them your pics and that should guarantee it....
in my jiu jitsu class we are ever so fortunate to have several leos and 2 homicide detectives, and let me tell you, from what they relate when we all go to lunch, all it takes for a warrent is a request for one. even though none of them know i smoke, for obvious reasons, the dynamics of law enforcement that are implimented are a gross violation of our constitutional rights.
example:
homicide detective '' we needed a warrent with no evidence... luckily, the judge is a not one to be late going home on fridays, so, we wait till the last minute friday and hit him with a warrent request. he didnt bother even reading the paperwork, signed off on it and asked if we were still on for golf for sunday''.
hearing this, as a grower, i was literally mortified. technically, all you have to do is AROUSE suspicion, much less provide valid evidence for them to use against you and your pretty much going having your place raided. same way with quotas, every officer has a quota to meet every month or their ass is getting sauted.
on the upside of this frightening knowledge we can be searched regardless of proceedure, i always go to class high as fuck. its euphoric grappling with the cops when they have no idea, even better when you submit them.

warrant doesnt even have to be signed by a judge, could be a justice of the peace.

not in a med state -and she dosent know about my handle here. she does know that i have grown in the past . shes pissed off enough to do someting but passed a phone call or letter i doubt she would go on the record claiming something, but who knows?
PROBABLE CAUSE. If a judge looks at the evidence (whatever it may be) and decides that you're most likely committing the crime you're being accused of, they'll get a warrant.

so I'm not throwing and leafs away in front of my house and only running 1400 watts one room in my house-she is a dailyweed smoker so visiting the police station to make a statement about it-? i got 18 sourbubble in veg about to be flipped and bloomed for 40 or so days
Make up with her, kiss her ass if you have to it's better than having that bitch snitching. I put up with that shit for years before I moved out west and it's hell worrying about some flaw bitch running her mouth but that is the price you pay for letting them know you grow if you're not married!

Be sure you can have proof that it was eiither: her idea in the first place to grow it, or she was selling it..... both would be best.
I learned from my long ago divorce... she had pics I didnt even have... it was 1 male 'pine tree' looking tree, that came from bag seed just thrown into the tomato patch one summer...
But I didnt have the plant at that time... she couldnt use the pics against me. My lawyer said "it was hers." ... issue over..
You know her best.. if you dumped her for her twin sister ( good for you!) I'd cut everything down and take apart the apperatus until it passes... and she gets married... not to you! IMO.

I don't understand, simply just saying "PersonX is growing" is not enough to obtain a warrant.
If that was the way the law worked, I could say "My neighbor does THIS illegally" and a cop/judge could obtain a warrant for just about anything.
NORMALLY what happens, based on reading stories, arrest reports, knowing people busted...it's a combination of things. A girlfriend "ratting" you out is simply a 'tip', at which point they normally will probably question the informant to gather additional information IE, how big is the grow, is he selling, etc. If they feel it's a big operation bringing in thousands upon thousands of dollars, they may consider putting additional resources (narcotics squad) on the grower to collect other information...
THIS is where they will probably contact the power company, check your trash, possibly have a FLIR fly-over, etc. Who knows what those sneaky fucks do, but most of the time it's loose lips and selling which is what gets people in trouble.
There are ways to grow and sell without bringing attention to yourself, but unless your girlfriend is the ride or die chick who you plan on marrying, it's safe to keep the grow from her.
I have purposely dropped out of the social scenes, bars, clubs, even stopped talking to certain people...just to get myself to a point where people have forgotten about me. I have also created an alias and an image, a 40+ year old retired marine sniper who grows to support himself because of a life long injury. It's a great way to get people who question "Yo, where'd you get this from?!" to just shut the fuck up immediately and to not ask questions. Deal with a small group of people...the more people you deal with directly, the more of a chance of someone running their mouth.
The fact that I normally just date chicks/bang chicks and don't really get into relationships should protect me from the 'obsessive ex-gf ratting me out', but in the case I do get involved with a female...the grow is in my attic which will be under lock and key (2 doors) and she will only know that i smoke...if she ever questions what's up there (doubtful) simply state storage of personal and family belongings. Common sense takes care of the rest.
