Nuggetshiner amazing Brick of hash, I love how the on/off buttons on the scale are coated as well. Makes me want to bust out the dry sieve as well.

Betty's Boy,
thanks for stopping in and the props, it's appreciated.

Hey Hazy, at the rate your going a nice oz. chunk is in your future, you gotta
do something with all those leaves. :)

highagain, I've thought a couple of times about starting a " Gooey Garden
Tools" thread. My scales, the scale bowl, lol, my x-acto knife handle is
getting thick, the scissor handles are pretty funny, my pipe that I use in the
garden gets pretty gunky around the carb hole. Might be a pretty funny
thread.

SpacedCWBY, ya know, it's kinda strange, I don't smoke that much kief or
scissor hash. I like it but I just like my pot better. A friend who started me
thinking about growing told me about a guy who smoked only kief and I
thought, wow, that would be amazing. I never really thought I would reach
that level but here I am and now I don't even smoke it much, lol.
My scissor hash ball just keeps getting bigger. I wonder what that would go
for per gram, never heard anything like that?
Don't know how many plants it took, too many other things to keep track of.

Next time I do this, which will be pretty soon, had another sack pretty full that
I didn't include in this, getting behind, I'm thinking about doing a little photo
journey of the process. Probably been done a few times before but if anyone
is interested let me know.

Thanks again for stopping in, take care, NS.

nuggetshiner, how big of a "grocery bag" are we talking? cause 234 grams of kif, jeez, It musta been a large trash bag? I'm just not seeing 234g's coming off trim that fits in a grocery bag.

You strait dry it when kifing after manicure?

Cause I know some folks freeze their trim, but thats usually for bubble.

*edit: not doubting you at all bro, just hard for me to see that much kif coming off what I know of as a "grocery bag", maybe our definition differs. Please do document your process, yeah its been done before, but still, maybe we'll learn something about yielding kif? I'm kinda discombobulated right now.

Hey Eijneb, lol, just your normal brown kraft paper grocery bag, but when I dry the
leaves and add them to the bag I crush them up so it is more like ground coffee rather
than the coffee bean. If I didn't crush them who knows how many bags it would be.
This sack was really only half full of dried crushed leaves and popcorn buds. Crush and
dried leaves don't take up much space.
Next time I'll weigh the sack so the title could be something like, "What does 2.5 lbs of
Crystal Leaf Make"? That should clarify it somewhat. Prob been done a few times
before but next time I make some kief I'll do a little pic documentary and weigh the
sack b4 I start so we can get a better idea of ratios.
Thanks for the interest, NS

Looks awesome, I know I'm gonna save my trim... How long did you save up your trim so you could get this much?

Ha ha ha, we must have been posting at the same time Hazelnuts, were on line
simultaneously quite often. =) Thanks for the props.
Here's what I don't know...
How much the sack weighed
How many leaves it took
How much time it took to save them
How many varieties were in it
How Hogan keeps getting out of the compound (Sgt. Schultz)
I don't understand String Theory very well, but it's cool.

What I do know is I grew it all and ended up with whatever it says in the first pic and
that Sgt. Schultz knows nothing!

Hope this doesn't sound neg, it's just that I never made plans to show that brick on
the web and I'm always just trying to remember to do the important stuff like record
when they went into flower, waterings, diff nutes for diff plants in a perp garden that
between veg & flower has 40 to 60 plants in all diff stages from clone to ready to trim.
Waaaaay too much to record everything and a well kept garden can be a very
demanding mistress.

Keep saving those leaves! Trash to stash, NS

I would be very interested in a photo guide step by step next time you do this. Makes me sick to think how many leaves I have composted over the last 20 years. never again.
