i love pizza! for a few months now i couldnt have any dairy & it sucked not bein able to enjoy a pie... luckly i've been able to start addin dairy back to my diet & pizza was what i chose first! another option for at home ones, i've used dough outta the "tubes" like crosants w/ basil sauce & tend to top w/ artichoke hearts, mushrooms, garlic,& peppers. when i order 'em i often go for a hawaiian style. but that changes w/ my mood. i've yet to try anchovies have been told i'd probably like cause i like salt.

That pic of Michael Moore eating pizza is a more realistic portrayal of hell then Dante's Inferno.

I used to like the DiGiorno deep dish meat pizza. I guess they stopped making them, though. Haven't seen them in the store in a while and they don't have the item listed on their website. Sucks. Not much of a fan of the major chains. I'll eat Papa Johns every now and then. Other than that I stick to local pizzerias down town. You know, the real deal. Thin crust, deep dish, hand tossed, whatever. I'll eat it.

If you mean the three meat pizza, then they still make it, because I just bought it last week.

I love the 'mom n pop' pizza shops, sometimes found in the busy part of town but I often notice those places in the older section of town. Show a little respect and manners you often get treated like family, a slice of pizza is a slice of pizza no matter how you slice it, but order something like a veal cutlet parmesan wedge and you might be surprised to find it's big enough for two full meals. Go to a pizza chain shop and all the portions are weight/price controlled, no particular personality to the food or service.

Calzone pizza is my favourite, but made only by experienced people, you know, those guys from small pizzerias or italian restaurants where you can order some nice wine along (not too expensive one). O.K., i eat pizza along with beer too, some might say, it's blasphemy, but, whatahell, it tastes so good with it.
Anyway, the reason why i love Calzone is that this kind of pizza is wraped and sealed, so all the ingredients (ham, bacon, eggs mixed with some old hard cheese - not necessairly mozzarella, olives, mushrooms, garlic) stays half baked, preserving the original taste. Above it all comes more scraped hard cheese, and if you like, choped onions. I usualy add a lot of oregano and ketchup.
From time to time, i use to make pizza at home. Sometimes i knead dough, and sometimes i use old bread leftovers as a dough. It's realy easy to do it that way. Just take some bread from yesterday (or even better, a few days old, but avoid mouldy parts - it will ruin the taste), chop it (you can use the machine chopper/blender but fisrt slice it to smaller parts, so the machine could do it easier) add just a bit of salt and mix it with some kind of fermented milk, youghurt will do just fine, a bit of extra virgin olive oil and one egg (that's why you need to add salt) and knead it - it will take only one minut. Then take a small parts of it and stick 'em into the pan (previously oiled with olive oil), and cover it with ketchup. Now, it's ready for adding all the orher ingredients.
A few tips how to make a better pizza.
If you add some mushrooms and olives, shrooms comes to the bottom, cos they use to evaporate (most of aroma will stay among the other stuff that way), and olives comes on the top cos they pour juices during the baking.
Put your oven to at least 250C, preferably 300C, or even 350C (i dunno how much it is in Farenheits).
Add spices (oregano, garlic, ganja or something else) on hot pizza when you take it out from the oven and then cover it with some cloth for a few minutes to preserve most of the aroma.

i was never really into Pizza-but then i found this shop in my town with this little Italian guy at the back. You tell him what you want and he gets a bit of dough-chucks it about a bit-whirls it around in the air and slaps it down on the slab. Then he throws stuff on top of it. The 'Vegitarian' is particularly good. Don't get me wrong-i'm not a vegitarian-but the stuff he puts on top is some serious gourmet shit. Bits of Jerusalemartichoke-shitake mushroons-asparagus. I mean, the guy has alot of flare. Sometimes-out of nowhere he'll drop a few bits of rocket on it (i'm talking herbs not turbine), or maybe he'll get jiggy with the basil. But whatever he does the pizza is always a perfvectly balanced blend of tastes and textures.

Tripco is obviously on it^^

now i'm desperate for one of those pizzas :bashhead:
